@ApostolicOrtho@C2Antiquity Since Cleave blocked me for calling him on his scheme, I’ll say it again here. He did this as a Protestant and is now doing the same thing as an EO catechumen (if he even is an actual catechumen). Our church, has been making great strides so he’s bashing us for views.
“Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”
— Deuteronomy 31:6 (NKJV)
@ApostolicOrtho@Musa625572@C2Antiquity He won’t do it because @C2Antiquity likes to make claims and then, when challenged, falls back on “I’m a catechumen, I don’t debate.”He knows our church is making great strides, so he’s trying to ride the wave by bashing us to gain views.
Hear me out. I think @MichaelJaiWhite is the only person who could direct an actual movie about St. Moses the Black and even play the role. The St. Moses the Black movie we got was a modern spin based on his story. We want to see a movie about the actual St. Moses the Black.
🚨BREAKING: Rome and the Coptic Orthodox have officially resumed ecumenical dialogue after LGBT rift. The Coptic Holy Synod says Pope Leo personally assured Pope Tawadros by phone that “blessings would not be granted to homosexuals.”
Did Leo just quietly bury Fiducia Supplicans
Dumb blunder from Fr. Stephen. Samson is commemorated in his church on the Sunday in between December 11-17 (pic 1), depicted by early christians (pic 2) remembered within the great cloud of witnesses by Paul (pic 3) and defended for such inclusion by St. John Chrysostom (pic 4).
Commemoration of the Enthronement of Pope Kyrillos VI
The story of his selection
The monk Mina the solitary did not submit any endorsements to be a candidate for the See of St. Mark after the passing of Pope Yusab II. And one day before the closing of the nomination period, the late Anba Athanasius, who was acting as locum tenens at the time, submitted a recommendation for the solitary monk despite his initial refusal.
Another issue arose: Monk Mina was ranked sixth among the monk candidates.
The bishops and lay leaders had agreed to present only five candidates. At the last moment, due to special circumstances, the fifth monk was excluded, making Father Mina the solitary monk the fifth name. Elections were then held among the five monks to select three for the “Holy Synod drawing of lots.” Monk Mina received the lowest number of votes among the top three and entered the final “Holy Synod drawing,” which took place in April 1959.
After the three papers were folded before the people by the acting locum tenens and placed in the designated box, they brought a very young deacon named Rafiq Basili al-Toukhi, who was about five years old. He was lifted up to choose from among the three folded papers. At first, he held two papers, then all three, so they told him: “Only one paper.” They covered his eyes, and he selected one paper. It bore the name of the monk Mina of Paromeos.
He was chosen by the hand of God to become Pope Cyril ( Kyrillos)VI, the 116th Pope.
God’s work is wondrous. Monk Mina did not nominate himself and did not present recommendations despite people asking him to do so. At the last moment, the locum tenens recommended him. He became sixth in rank, yet God arranged for another monk to step aside and for Father Mina to take his place. He received few votes, but God had a different vision and a different order.
