Lets take a second to look under the hood on Solana and reveal what is really happening, the things they really do not want you to see. It is a sobering observation for anyone who believes in fair markets.

The raw data from the past 24 hours paints a clear picture with 1,428 sandwich attacks, 136.466 SOL extracted, and 2,207 victims, all at the hands of just 30 attackers in just the last 24 hours.

What we are witnessing goes beyond simple opportunistic trading. It points to a deeply ingrained system of value extraction. What we see on Solana is more than just fast transactions. We see an architecture that by its very nature seems to favor the sophisticated few at the expense of the average trader. The constant vulnerability of regular participants to these sandwich attacks suggests a design where front running is an intentional feature, not an anomaly.

Consider this, an average user just wants to make a trade, to participate. But every time they do, they are essentially walking into a digital ambush. The very architecture that boasts speed and efficiency simultaneously enables a system where bots can consistently front run and back run human trades, chipping away at their capital. Value extraction as the cost of average users.

It is a fundamental challenge to the idea of an equitable financial system. If the network design inherently allows and even encourages this kind of predatory behavior, then how can it ever be considered a serious, long term choice for genuine financial operations or for empowering the individual?

For me, the promise of decentralized finance has always been about levelling the playing field, removing the gatekeepers, reduction of trust and creating a system where everyone has a fair shot. On Solana, however, what we are witnessing is a new class of gatekeepers. The high frequency bots and the validators colluding with them effectively turn the chain into a playground for financial extraction. It fundamentally undermines the trust that is so critical for widespread adoption. The freedom we were promised feels very distant here.
