I'm here just documenting my process for both of us to learn
@kearonis You’re close to the actual niche! I think this is why impressions are huge, but no clicks - LLMs probably love quoting it. I wonder if they even see the sponsored section?
It is way too easy to rank “top X in Y” right now. I published 2 and they are ranking for #3 and #4 in less than a week on a 6 month old site.
They’re already cited in ChatGPT for the same keywords!
I started prompt caching this week - it allowed me to use much larger prompts for bulk projects with a much lower budget.
For example, I have ~500 Shopify categories. In the below-the-fold prompt for these categories, I gave it the ENTIRE list of URLs to choose from (h/t to @KaiCromwell for the strategy) to improve internal links. I cached that list and also a document about “Our Brand”, and Opus 4.5 is producing extremely coherent content in a highly technical niche. I am feeding it the descriptions of the top 10 products, so that’s probably helping.
I’m surprised it took me this long to learn/hear about the caching. Next up are Claude skills!
Update: this site had an impressions boom with the theme redesign when I took it over, then a “crash” (query parameter limitation?) and now upward trending with 2 months of high quality PR links and the usual citations.
The contractor says leads are slow this time of year (and this cycle of the economy), so I’m excited to see how this project is doing next spring.
Last week, I built a 60-page local SEO website with Cursor for a contractor in Kansas City. He’s already received 2 leads! (One was a $50,000+ job)
He pays me $1500/month, but I’m probably undercharging.
Here’s some stuff I did:
p.s. before me, this contractor paid $20,000 to a digital marketing agency for a 7 page website, no links, no ads, and not a single lead 😭
He decided to work with me because one of his partners connected us (referrals!)

Yesterday, I spent an additional $567 on links.
I also have $300/m budgeted for Google Ads, so my profit this month will be $233.
Follow me and soon you’ll see what those links were and how this site continues to grow 😎
