@art_stapleton@ChooseUrMindset@CarlBanksGIII I’m old enough to remember when a doormat "reporter" (aka PR for the Giants) was crying like a child on twitter with 100 tweets a day for a week because a single player didn't want to talk to him one single time after one single game where he went to meet his family. Pathetic.
@rydunleavy It's extraordinary how naive you are to think Schoen is making these picks. Every major decision right now is being made by Harbaugh, as it should be. You think a $100m head coach is going to let a certified terrible GM with no leg to stand on pick his players for him? Comical.
@LilCknEater@OKane_98@DDuggan21 Or let's say he doesn't sit out, if he sulked last season unhappy with his deal, how do we think he'll act the next season? Surely the same or worse. So he's played the only cards he has, making a trade request and potentially sitting out or just not putting in effort.
@LilCknEater@OKane_98@DDuggan21 Dex's leverage is that I doubt NYG want to start Harbaugh's 1st season with their "middle stone" potentially sitting out. Would he sit out and lose his money? Maybe not, but that's the game of bluff he has to play to try and force a new deal.
So either pay him or trade him.
@Swellking Sammy D lifting the Lombardi on Sunday. That's why you don't take a RB with the #2 pick in the draft when you can take a quality QB or a future HOF OL when your OL is a disgrace. Josh Rosen? You can probably find him on LinkedIn I guess. 🫡
@Ian_OConnor The dirt Ronnie Barnes must have on the Mara family must be extraordinary. Does any other team put out this much needless PR for their...head trainer? Bizarre to say the least.
@IamEliRacks Just FTR, I'm far from new here. I read/listen/watch a lot of Giants content for decades (probably more than you do even), including your own, I just rarely bother to comment these days because what does it really matter at the end of the day? 🫡
@IamEliRacks Yeah exactly my point, you've been told he does an awesome job by others. It's not like you've worked with him to know. Maybe he does, maybe he doesn't. He's well liked, that we know.
We've been told a lot about people in the building, they're all awesome, Abrams etc etc
@DanSchneierNFL Dan, don't take this wrong way but you put way too much stock in your "conviction" for someone that has been proven wrong as much as you have. Citing Maye as if that was one and only time you've previously been convicted about something. 🙄
This isn't a comment on Leonhard btw.
@CarlBanksGIII Let's see how long it takes Abrams to get a GM job. You've been claiming for years he's an absolute genius who could get a GM job anywhere, right? Surely every NFL team will be moving heaven and earth to bring him in as GM when they have an opening. We'll see. ⏱️
@AlexWilsonESM I'm for trading Kayvon since it's likely he'll leave as a free agent next year but the idea that NYG have to go WR at #5 if Wan'Dale leaves is pretty funny. It's BPA whether Wan'Dale is here or not.
@Ian_OConnor Of course the GM who was extremely lucky not to be fired is going to bend over backwards for Harbaugh, it's the very least he can do. The thought that he'd do anything different or even have the audacity to think he could is absurd. Spare us the credit for Schoen posts.
@Ian_OConnor Ian I respect you as a reporter but this idea we should give Schoen credit for merely not being a deterrent to Harbaugh is ridiculous. Alternative would have been Harbaugh getting to pick his own GM, which he surely would have liked even more. So stop it with the Schoen stuff.
@rydunleavy You make it sound like Mara is going bankrupt by agreeing to the deal. Just utterly nonsense PR. Every single team that was after Harbaugh would have paid the same, because they can all very well afford it being multi-billion $ organizations.
This isn't some grand achievement.
