I know there are some exceptions, but my experience is that the calibre of local politicians is often worse than that of those in Westminster (hard as it is to believe!)

@elerianm Excuse me….why “correct” for the valuation effect?!! A key reason for investing in gold is that it holds its value over time (versus inflation), whereas currencies don’t.
