YEP.
I find myself constantly double and triple checking to see if I alarmed my car. I hear the sound so often that I am not even sure if I actually heard it set or just REMEMBERED hearing it activate.

Then, it would chime if deviating more than 300 ft from the set altitude. Problem with aural alerts is that when you hear them often, it's human nature to tune them out.
