“The opposite of addiction isn't sobriety. It's connection... If you are alone, you cannot escape addiction. If you are loved, you have a chance. For a 100 years we have been singing war songs about addicts. All along, we should have been singing love songs to them.” #JohannHari
We need to change our culture. Forcing someone to drink an entire bottle of liquor simply in jest or to "show loyalty" is ludicrous. My heart opens for his loved ones🙏

When you think of all the things you want to say in response to someone to prove they're wrong about you but then you realize it's unnecessary because you don't need to prove your value or worth to anyone, that's growth.
You cannot #escape yourself forever but you can befriend both light and shadow parts. Just as the depth of my darkness is endless, so is the shine of my light. And there's a special sort of relief within because of that #awareness.

Since you are constantly evolving, it's good sense to check in with yourself often. I think this is what can steady your course, bring you back to center, recalibrate your compass, or even keep you from #setbacks. A #reset is not incorrect, it's necessary.

Setbacks are inevitable. In meditation, get distracted? Go back to the breath. Overdo it exercising? That's called rest. It's how you take the reset that matters. Don't look at them as failures, look at them as gifts. Practice. Flex your discipline muscle. Then move forward.
@PosseRecovery About to take on step 5. I have a few more pieces of step 4 to really sort through before moving on. My opinion is that although difficult at times, every experience holds value. You got this!
