@hearthandcoffin Just last night, as I lay my head down at 2am, ideas started flowing. I worked out the shape of a short story I'm working on and made copious notes on my phone so I wouldn't forget. I've woken up this morning energised to finish the thing.

I never begrudge night-writing :)

@katelynmbecker Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K Dick. It's what Blade Runner is based on, so people may already be familiar with the world, but (from memory) the story is quite different .
Plenty to discuss with that one, which is what brought it to mind.

@cousins_pete @L_R_Schulz I think it's part of the Chronicles of Amber, try searching for that. Think it was part of the SF/Fantasy masterworks series. I bought it new a few years ago and it wasn't anywhere near that much...

Something about the fantastical, dreamy nature of it appealed to me I think...
