ओडिशा के पीपली गाँव की चंदुआ कला सिर्फ एक हस्तकला नहीं, बल्कि सदियों पुरानी आस्था और परंपरा की पहचान है। भगवान जगन्नाथ की रथ यात्रा में इस्तेमाल होने वाली रंग-बिरंगी छतरियाँ इसी कला से बनाई जाती हैं।

12वीं शताब्दी में भगवान जगन्नाथ के लिए वस्त्र तैयार करने से शुरू हुई यह कला आज भी पीढ़ी दर पीढ़ी जीवित है। कभी धुंधली पड़ती यह परंपरा आज फिर से नई पहचान बना रही है और कई कलाकारों को सम्मान के साथ रोजगार भी दे रही है।
