I don’t usually brag about our residency program, but today I’m gonna make an exception.

Like other children’s hospitals, we’re managing a surge in respiratory illness.

Something I wish more people understood, especially in the hospital setting, is that when kids > 18 w/trauma may not have been able to "grow up" in the ways their peers have been privileged enough to be able to. They have both never had a chance to be a kid and never had a chance

patterns, and it makes sense that they may make decisions that might unintentionally not serve them as well as they could have. No one should be expected to be at their best all the time, let alone when they're actively not feeling well.
