“Donald Trump is now a felon. His campaign chairman was a felon. So is his deputy campaign manager, his personal lawyer, his chief strategist, his National Security Adviser, his Trade Advisor, his Foreign Policy Adviser, his campaign fixer, and his company CFO. They’re all felons. Judged by the company you keep. It’s a cabal of convicts.” —Quoted by @HC_Richardson
@ESPNFANSUPPORT@espn @ESPNPlusHelp @ESPNBetSupport I'm a subscriber but was not allowed to access the Big Sky Mens Basketball championship tonite. Rip off?
@FPWellman I trust then, given this AL Supreme Court decision, that Alabama will begin immediately allowing a tax deduction for fertilized eggs (embryos). Moreover, a person transporting one will be legally allowed to drive in the HOV lane.
@Travis_in_Flint The Judge said he’d allow Trump to speak in closing arguments with restrictions. Trump wouldn’t agree to comply with these restrictions.
@LindseyGrahamSC Hey, Lickin’ Lindsey - President Biden has openly stated his willingness to negotiate with Republicans on changes to border policy and you know this. Quit playing politics with the issue and spell out what you want. Do your job!
“WOW okay so the most amazing thing just happened to me and I can’t help but share it with the world. American Airlines instituted a new policy where you have to pay to take a carry-on onto the plane.
Which is ridiculous but off topic.
I consolidate my bags into one and they measure it and say it’s just a little too big. They proceed to charge me $50, except they only take credit card, no cash. Since I just got back from Europe all my cards are being declined as Chase doesn’t know I’m back.
They tell me that I’m going to have to miss the flight and head back to the ticket counter to pay down there. I’m pleading, devastated after a long day of travel. Then, this man walks up and says, “How much is it?” They tell him $50 and he says “I got it.”
I’m astonished and tell him it’s fine not to worry and he hands the lady his card as the American Airlines employees stand in silence shocked by this man’s generosity. They swipe the card and he tells me to have a great flight and hop on board.
I’m crying as I write this and as I board the flight. This man was an angel. I stop him as he’s sitting in first class and try to give him my money but he just shook me off and told me to pay it forward.
My heart is so happy. There are good people in this world.
Be that person for someone because I know after this I sure will be.” 💕
Update: It was NFL player, Jermaine Gresham.”

@paulkrugman Yeah, yeah, yeah, Paul. Interesting and correct ( in my view). But what about real global effects of all this. What about the strength (or lack thereof) of the USD on the international market? Eg USD vs MX peso under 17. What say you?
If a motion to vacate is offered by some MAGA-type House Republican, Democrats should simply sit it out or abstain, on the grounds that this is an intra-Republican fight that's not their problem. McCarthy would then win a plurality of Republicans easily.
I said this a while back, and I’m going to say it again. It’s that important. You can argue it, if you like, but, it won’t change the truth of what I say.
Whether Fani Willis or Jack Smith indict, prosecute and convict Donald Trump before, or after the election…it doesn’t matter. Not in the grand scheme of things.
If Donald Trump fell over dead today, do you actually think the GOP is going to snap back into a 1980 republican party? If so, you are delusional.
The structure is now in place, and, in Trump’s absence, there are others who would quickly move to fill the vacuum created by Trump’s departure. They have decided on the path they are going to take, and they are going to stay on that path, with….or without Donald Trump.
We have to grasp this. The failure to do so comes with the potential for serious consequences.
Donald Trump is no longer THE problem. That window closed quickly. Now, he is merely a part of the problem. Collectively, though, the radicalized GOP is a BIG problem.
Look, my deep desire to see Trump prosecuted and convicted is driven by a simple fact: like many of you, I just fucking hate this guy. I want to see his orange punk ass brought to justice.
However, I don’t, for one second….think that Trump is THE problem we must tackle. The problem to overcome…is the GOP and the fascism that is now woven through it. The GOP supports Trump. They defend Trump. Trump is NOTHING without them. The GOP….is the problem.
We must vote. We must donate. We must break records with everything we do. More money than ever before. More people casting their votes than ever before. Overkill. Do it all on a level of ethical and moral extremism. It has to be.
So, while we all want to see Trump’s ass in an orange jump suit, his conviction doesn’t end the threat to democracy. We’re way beyond that. The GOP is the threat to democracy, now, and for the foreseeable future.
The GOP….is what we have to dismantle. Dismantle, as in take it DOWN with our votes, support and donations. Over, and over…and over again.
