'I was blown away by this childrenβs book. Here is a rare thing indeed: a childrenβs book with a strong moral message whilst also presenting an artistic and creative flair.' ππ«πhttps://t.co/cnTv0lqzz0 #ChildrensBooks#storytelling
Recently facilitated making monsters out of bags. Love this idea. Someone taking part, who couldn't have been older than 3, made several different monsters and confidently told me that they're not scared of monsters, which I thought was magic ππ
Rainy day solidarity: Young woman buys a book, glances outside at rain & asks 'Is it ok if I stay a bit & read it here?' Us: 'Of course! Would you like a cup of tea with it?' Customer is visibly surprised, but glad to accept!
Fab customer orders books for her child's Birthday Party Going Home Bags (yes! we do do that!). Her: 'I need 10 books for 3 year olds, 5 books for 1 year olds and one book for a 37 year old'. Me: 'Really?' Her: 'It's for my husband. He gets sad if he doesn't get a book too'
Always thrilling to see The Rare Monkey on the Princes Trust instagram. Really wouldn't have found the confidence to have created books without them ππππ
@Biggreenbooks It's an amazing event, isn't it? I remember going as a child; same large figures, whole event lot small. I get bit emotional when I see Jack. Enjoy π
Hey hey! Back to work on The Rare Monkey with the Colourful Bottom storytelling performance. Games craft and session developing too. Perhaps you know a festival, venue, bookshop that might be interested? If so, love to hear your thoughts....
