NOBODY CAME TO MY FUNERAL ๐๐
Nobody came to my funeral.
Not because the roads were flooded, or the sky had swallowed the morning.
They simply had somewhere else to be.
The clock still wore my heartbeat.
The walls still remembered my name.
My coffee sat half-finished, growing colder than my body.
I had spent my whole life answering calls before they became missed, watering gardens that never learned my scent, building homes inside people who rented me by the season.
When they lowered my coffin, the ropes groaned louder than the mourners.
No tears....
Only the sound of fresh earth forgetting another face.
I wanted to scream, I was here.
I carried your grief like it was holier than my own.
I memorized your birthdays.
I buried my storms so yours could become rainbows.
But death is a room where every voice arrives too late.
Days later, they unlocked my phone.
They found paragraphs that began with, "Are you okay?" and ended with, "Never mind."
Drafts that said, "I miss you." Never sent.
Photographs where I cropped myself out so everyone else would fit.
My life was a museum of invisible sacrifices. By the seventh day, the flowers had learned to rot.
By the thirtieth, my name became "that person." By the first year, I existed only when someone's guilt needed a face.
And somewhere, my house still waited for footsteps that would never return. The dust knew I was gone before the people did.
Tell meโ What is more terrifying? To die...
or to spend your entire life disappearing so slowly that by the time your heart finally stops, your absence feels exactly like your presence always did.

If there is one thing I'll want anyone to take away from my story, is....
what you suspect might really be true and your friends might be right,
the signs you noticed may genuinely be pointing to something serious, so I'm not asking you to ignore your instincts, I'm asking you to respect communication before you respect assumptions.
