The Morning Rant: Go After The Big Employers Of Illegals First!

ICE's efforts to rid America of the scourge of violent illegal criminals who prey on our citizens is laudable, and in fact should be expanded. Contrary to the media's portrayal of a country that is upset that violent criminals who try to run down law enforcement get ventilated, most Americans understand that trying to kill cops is a good way to get shot, and aren't troubled by it.

The FBI and other data suggest about 1.25 million violent crimes in 2024, and that's just the reported ones. Law enforcement shot/killed about 1,000 that year, so it certainly isn't some insane number of violent criminals being killed extrajudicially! The number that ICE shoots is a rounding error in the total, so the panty-bunched soi-boys in the corporate GOP and the Democrat Party (but I repeat myself) can shut the f*ck up and sit the f*ck down. And that goes for Markwayne Mullin too, but President Trump already took care of that!

But there is another vast reservoir of illegals that seems to have been put on the back burner by the Trump administration. And that is the millions that are employed by our largest companies. The open secret of widespread use of illegal labor in many industries is an obscene dismissal of the Americans who would like to work, but can't. Or the Americans whose wages are depressed because of the millions of additional workers in America who are paid less than the prevailing wage because of their illegal status.

The Morning Rant: Democratic Socialists Of America Is The Same Tired Evil, But With A Pretty Name

The current tussle within the Democrat Party between old-school octogenarians and the younger, more brash crypto-communists is nothing new. Trotting out class warfare is a tried-and-true trick that the Democrats have often used to motivate their young shock troops on the street and their older, compliant fools who do the actual voting and funding. Post-modernism gave them additional tools in the form of ethnic and sexual divisions, but the overarching principle is the same. Pit one group against another to keep the resentment and anger at a frenzied pitch.

The Morning Rant: Flock Cameras
This isn't a cop parked on the side of the road who happens to notice something. This is surveillance in the absence of probable cause, and that violates the spirit of the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The government parses our rights to diminish their impact on its fanatical desire to know everything about us, but routine surveillance without a court order seems to be a clear violation of our right to be safe from government observation.

The Morning Rant: Major Watson Is A Dumbass

The 1st Amendment to the United States Constitution is a very interesting thing. Many people misinterpret it, in particular the so-called "Establishment Clause," which prevents the establishment of a state religion, rather than the more popular assumption that it prevents all government involvement.

The third clause, "Congress shall make no law […] abridging the freedom of speech," is perhaps even more widely confused with a blanket prohibition against penalizing speech in any context by any person or organization. And that is simply wrong.
