.@AlbertBreer on if there’s a world where the #Cowboys have both CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens on the roster in 2027:
“…I don’t see a scenario where CeeDee Lamb won’t be on the roster in 2027. I think he’s probably still there. But signing Pickens could be with the idea that essentially you’re eventually going to move from Lamb to Pickens…”
We are certainly a long ways away from making that, but it’s something to think about especially IF Dallas extends Pickens at some point.

"Fired up to have him here. Fired up he's back."
- Brian Schottenheimer says the #Cowboys will move slowly with George Pickens in mandatory minicamp.
"He'll be Coach Pickens this week."
OC Klayton Adams on the next step in evolving the offense: "I'm also kind of a firm believer that the story of the season tends to write itself.
And that's one of the reasons I try not to tie the screws too tight- weight on what you want to do in the offseason is because somebody's gonna invent something accidentally in the preseason or week 6 or week 7 or week 8, and then, oh, I want to do that."
He also added: "I went into my 1st season in Arizona, like, we're going to be an outside zone team, and then we ended up doing all sorts of other stuff. So, we'll have an idea of what we think we want to do, and then somebody's gonna play better than we think or have an injury or whatever it is, and you're gonna end up having it." #dallascowboys
Klayton Adams on the chess match with Christian Parker: "It’s good. They've done a nice job building it the right way. They understand the checks and coverages, they {defensive staff} coach things in coverage with detail, they understand how to teach those guys fundamentals and apply those to techniques.” #dallascowboys
Cowboys OLB Donovan Ezeiruaku has slowly been taking on more of a workload in recent weeks, as he recovers from a hip labrum surgery he had in January.
Today, he took part in individual drills and worked on the sleds with the fellow pass rushers.
Jerry Jones and Brian Schottenheimer sat down with Pickens earlier in the offseason to let him know the team would not be negotiating a long-term deal this offseason. How important was that conversation to Pickens?
"Super important," Pickens said. "Definitely as a person, as anybody, I would want you to tell your kids, your friends exactly what you're going to do."
Some notes from #Cowboys minicamp practice today:
- Dak Prescott was somewhat limited on Tuesday, but still took what I would consider to be close to his normal amount of reps (I counted four in 11-on-11, 11 in 7-on-7, 5 of which were one drive of a hurry-up offense).
- Prescott's first throw of 11-on-11 was a deep ball down the middle of the field for CeeDee Lamb that was just a tad overthrown. He made up for it by connecting with Lamb on an over-the-shoulder catch on a deep ball down the sideline on the first play of 7-on-7.
- Saw Shavon Revel and Cobie Durant get PBUs today for the defense.
- As expected, George Pickens was more of "Coach George" as Brian Schottenheimer alluded to this morning, but did go through individual drills.
- Malik Hooker, DaRon Bland and Jalen Thompson all worked on the cords with director of rehab Britt Brown. James Houston did some conditioning work on the opposite practice field.
- The Cowboys have two minicamp tryout players: Former Browns CB Sam Webb and former Raiders OLB Charles Snowden.
The Cowboys are working out OLB Charles Snowden and CB Sam Webb during mandatory minicamp this week on a tryout basis.
Snowden started 18 games over the last two seasons for the Raiders and combined for 4.5 sacks and 8 TFL.
Webb has played mostly as a rotational DB in multiple spots over the last four seasons. He started in two games for the Browns last season.
Injury update from Schotty:
-Malik Hooker (Back) limited in today's practice
-Daron Bland (foot) is "doing great"
-Jalen Thompson (Peck) limited in today's practice
-James Houson (back) limited in today's practice
-Donovan Ezeiruaku (hip) limited in today's practice

No concerns with Dak Prescott’s sore knee today. He did just about everything he’d normally do during practice. He was moving well. No signs of having any type of notable injury
#Cowboys Quinnen Williams will be attending the Sack Summit along with coach Brandon Jordan, July 9-11. The annual summit is hosted by Maxx Crosby, Von Miller, and Cam Jordan.
Williams had a career high 12 sacks in 2022—does he beat that mark this year?

DeMarvion Overshown is being targeted for green dot Mike Linebacker, Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer confirmed. He credited the vision of Christian Parker and Dee Winters being able to play weakside linebacker.
Winters is also being looked as the green dot.
The Cowboys are excited that Overshown wants to own that posiiton.
We’ve focused on Tyler Guyton vs. Nate Thomas at LT, but Thomas played RT with the second team today. Who was the second team LT behind Guyton? Rookie Drew Shelton.
#Cowboys OC Klayton Adams on RB Javonte Williams after his breakout season last year:
“This guy is an adult. He is very mature. He's very smart. I'm really into guys who are great teammates, and that dude is a great teammate. ... His game is extremely well-rounded. ... He's certainly one of my favorites.”
Brian Schottenheimer on Ryan Flournoy's development: He's "doing incredible. First on the practice field, last to leave. Always making himself available with Dak for throwing sessions. He earned it the right way, through special teams, in run blocking, doing the dirty work, and because he does everything right, Dak doesn’t hesitate." #dallascowboys
George Pickens told us at the podium he’s NOT holding out this season.
I asked him again in the locker room if he plans on playing this season and he made it very clear he is.
Pickens says the team and the city are his motivations and winning a SB.
As for being late to meetings, it’s been discussed with the whole team what the standard is.
