They say the eyes are a portal to a man's soul. I quickly took this photo in response to a text. The moment I took it and began to move my eyes down to the send button, my eyes locked on my own in the photo and the question immediately came to mind, "Who are you?" I decided to save the photo and continue to ask myself that question. The question, although simple is one of deep significance for myself in observing others. I have always looked into other people's eyes and tried to feel their spirits within, but hadn't ever done it myself. This picture and question eventually led to deep thoughts about my personal purpose in this life, who I am right now and who I want to become. The trials I have been through and the choices that I have made throughout my life do not define me, but have truly refined me. I am not perfect. I am continually trying to improve myself. But, I know that I am a Child of a loving Heavenly Father. I know that Jesus Christ is my Brother, Savior, and Friend. He has lifted, healed, and sanctified my soul more times than I deserve, but I am so grateful for Him. My soul is of Infinite worth to God and His Son, and that truly means everything to me. My name is Alex Ames. I have a spiritual and temporal DNA, and Heritage that I would never trade. I am grateful for my life and for all those in it. I know who I am, and I know I have help beyond the veil leading me towards who I am supposed to become. โ๏ธ

FIFA President Gianni Infantino:
โI have seen the public comments regarding the decision of the independent FIFA Disciplinary Committee related to the suspension of Folarin Balogun, and I would like to reiterate a fundamental principle of FIFAโs governance.
โFIFAโs judicial bodies are independent. They operate autonomously, apply the FIFA Disciplinary Code, and decide cases based on the applicable regulations and the specific facts before them. Their independence is essential to the credibility and integrity of football, and this must always be respected.
โYes, I regularly discuss matters related to the FIFA World Cup with the President of the United States, and on this matter, I did receive a call from President Donald Trump, just as I receive calls from heads of state, government officials, football stakeholders and business executives from around the world on many different issues. During our conversation, I explained that there was an ongoing legal process involving FIFAโs independent judicial bodies and that the case would be decided in due course by the competent bodies. That is how FIFAโs system works, and it is a principle that I will always uphold.
โI read the decisions of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee when they are issued. Sometimes I am surprised by them. Sometimes I agree with them, and sometimes I disagree.
โWhat I always do, however, is respect those decisions and the autonomy of the bodies that make them. Whether we personally like a decision or not is irrelevant. Respect for independent institutions and the rule of law is what protects the integrity of our competitions and the credibility of FIFA at all times.โ
