Idk why people are freaking out.
1. We knew this was coming.
2. Shedeur simply isnt ready. He has the talent and ability, his recognition and processing simply isn’t there yet.
3. This is best outcome for Shedeur. Let Watson get beat up on the road while OL figures it out.
Watching some highlights of AB.
It’s crazy to me that when you say.
Calvin Johnson 6’5, 4.3 speed
Julio Jones 6’3, 4.3
You have to include
Antonio Brown 5’10, 4.5
He had a better 6 year run than both! All First Ballot Gold jacket guys from the same era. Just built different.
He’s gonna ball out in Jessie minter system and then leave because we can’t pay him😂 I can see it now him and Ro will be a top LB Duo this year Stamp that
I was out at #Vikings-Ravens joint practices today. There are a few things that jumped out to me:
1) I think the #Vikings enhanced their overall physicality this offseason. This is especially apparent within the iDL. They have a nice mix of different body types and versatility at that spot. I think DT Elijah Williams could be a breakout player this year. He flashed last training camp and he's clearly made additional strides. You can see the young DTs - Banks and Orange - are still learning the technical components at this point. The flashes appear, but now it's about harnessing the talent consistently. I love all of the options and upside they have inside. I'm glad they got younger and fresher at this spot. That needed to happen.
2) Dallas Turner looks more confident and refined this year. I think he's potentially enhanced a few of the components that were still raw within his game. I'm excited to see Dallas early in the year. Could this be his breakout season?....I also wouldn't be surprised if the Vikes added another EDGE.
3) I believe the season will be defined by whether they can run the football effectively. Can they frequently move people along the LOS and marry up the run/pass concepts? In my opinion - the #Vikings OL personnel fits the wide zone scheme very well. It will be fun to see all of the different wrinkles they can build in through personnel groupings, formations, motions/shifts. MN really needs to support Murray with a strong running game. I also think moving the pocket off the play-action boot game, sprint outs, and changing launch points would give Murray more room to operate. It creates more opportunities to scramble when coverage gets locked up too. It all starts with running the ball well though! It's a massive, season-defining key IMO.
4) OT Ryan Van Demark was one of the most underrated signings of the offseason. He gives them much-needed stability at the swing tackle spot. That’s an area I haven’t been particularly confident in over the past few seasons. We know injuries always happen, so having Van Demark is big.
5) The Ravens are a GREAT team to have a joint practice with. The Jesse Minter/Anthony Weaver's defense is giving the #Vikings offense so many awesome looks (both in the front and backend) that should help them grow. All day, they were mixing it up and testing MN's offense in a variety of different ways. That's the point of joint practices - creating realistic challenges that help you evaluate talent and prepare for the season.
6) I still believe the #Vikings could improve the competitive depth of their CB room. This is a position I'd keep an eye on during roster cuts. I'd like to see them get one bursty, versatile guy. Collectively, I think they could get a touch faster in the secondary.
7) The Ravens have a really nice WR room. Deep unit and great mix of different skill sets. Ja'Kobi Lane and Elijah Sarratt were excellent additions. Wester is a spark plug guy who could help them. I also really liked what I saw from Dayton Wade. I think this guy has some potential. I was impressed with his routes and suddenness.
8) I'm reallyyyyy excited about Chandler Rivers. Keep an eye on him! He's the exact type of DB the Ravens needed. I think he's going be an amazing weapon for Minter as a nickel who can move all over, even kicking outside or back to safety in certain packages. Rivers moves really well, is explosive and plays with great intensity. He ended up in the perfect scheme for his overall game.
I’ll continue to say it 1on1 he can’t be checked imo he’s really a better WR then people give him credit if the lane hype is Real our WR core finna be elite for the next 5 years
