@BlueLinesHQ Sweeney gets too much grief (he was brilliant at ‘25 deadline). This offseason, is TBD bc not over…like the player w Peterka but price seemed high in comp to others (feels like a miss not also getting Bourque for a 2nd and 3rd) and (for now) the Borgen add is underwhelming.
@AmericanAir - terrible experience right now on a flight out of PHL to ORD; flight already delayed 3 hours bc of a maintenance issue and now we’ve been sitting on new plane for over an hour waiting for the drinks to be delivered bc can’t fly without ice and water. No urgency!
@smclaughlin9@briandefelice_ When I look at the Dorofeyev package, it definitely feels like a lot. Don’t get me wrong, like the player but would have rather given up little bit more to get Dorofeyev.
@EvanMarinofsky Because Florida traded for Brady Tkachuk and now has less than $7M in cap space and literally no goaltenders and no first round picks until 2030? I would love Thomas or Robertson as much as the next Bruins fan but those aren’t only two options to significantly improve the team.
@Jessemedscience Poitras, Lohrei, E Lindholm, Letourneau, and a first (and a maybe more just to ensure they take E Lindholm)…that contract and the player are worth it
@EmptyNettersPod Or do they sign him to an offer sheet at $12-$13M+ per season and give up the four firsts? They have the cap space, only 2 UFAs in Arvidsson and Peeke and Dallas has limited space and several UFAs
@_TyAnderson@BruinsCapSpace tells the story with his cap tracking…Dallas, Edmonton, Vegas, St. Louis all have talent available and bad cap situations. Donnie should have plenty of options this summer especially if the bouncing balls go their way on Tuesday night. @Jessemedscience
@Jessemedscience 100% and it’s not a crazy idea - Bruins have multiple first round picks in two of next three drafts; they have the cap space w only Arvidsson and Peeke as UFAs this offseason and Dallas is going to be challenged to sign him and fill out their team.
