👁️🗨️ A Middlesbrough fan on why they saw Michael Carrick's struggles at Manchester United coming:
"When Carrick was at Middlesbrough, he came in mid-season when we were struggling under Chris Wilder. He took over and immediately got the players doing the basics well. He inspired them, and we saw the same thing when he arrived at Manchester United.
He made the simple things happen, put the right players in the right positions, and for a while it worked. But once teams figured out his approach, the problems became obvious.
People at Boro had already talked about his inability to adapt. I don't necessarily believe in needing a Plan B, but there are times you have to react to what's happening on the pitch. Carrick doesn't seem capable of that.
Look at his subs. It's like the 62nd minute comes, an alarm goes off on his wrist, and he knows it's time to make a change. But it's always like-for-like. No tactical tweaks, no change in shape, nothing different.
And now we're seeing the same pattern at Manchester United.
Did we predict this drop-off? Absolutely. We joked about it when he was doing well and got the permanent deal. Even Boro fans were saying, 'just watch what happens when teams figure him out.'
He's stubborn. He sticks to what he believes in, no matter what others think. His press conferences would sometimes leave Boro fans wondering if he was watching the same game.
To the fans, it was obvious something different was needed, but he struggled to adapt."

My heart breaks💔The staff member who gave George a ride back to the pits yesterday was interviewed about what happened.
He said that when he went over to George, he told him, “It’s okay, bro. You can do better next time.” George just kept his head down. Even after he got on the bike, he was still sitting there with his head hanging, so the staff member thought he should take the long way back, give George a bit more time to calm down and cool off, and ride slowly back to the rear of the pits.
When asked whether George had held onto his waist, he said no. He said George just looked completely drained, like he was trying to hold himself together and hold back tears, and didn’t even seem to know what to do with his hands.
Huge respect to this staff member. The kindness of a complete stranger showed George more care than some people in his own team did.
As some F1 fans faced long waits for shuttle buses at Sepang, local motorcyclists began providing transportation services to help those struggling with the queues get to their destinations. 🏍️🏎️
A simple solution that turned into a wholesome display of Malaysian teamwork. 🤝🇲🇾
Lewis Hamilton speaking about having Sepang back
Lewis, as one of the few drivers that have raced and won here, not to mention four pole positions on the trot, you clearly know how to get around this track. Are you happy that it's back? What do you expect from this weekend?
"I am happy it's back. It's one of the best circuits, really fantastic circuit. The layout is great. For a newer circuit that was built back in the day, this is one of the better ones. And, massively challenging physically. The tires are melting from the moment you leave the pit lane, the car is... everything's hot. So, I think it's.. I'm glad it's back on the calendar, because we want more tracks that provide racing, and this is a racing circuit"
Interesting track walk around Sepang today. Circuit remains very old school and its rough surface, already one of the most abrasive back in 2014, stands out as something that could be a big talking point for its impact on tyres. #F1.
Disgraceful team performance. Utterly disgraceful. A new low.
That's the third time in 12 months that we've fallen pathetically at the first hurdle in domestic cup competitions.
Why is everything so fucking miserable? All the fucking time.
My god.
