its 2k24 and a big reason why is once you get to a certain skill level as a team on 2k25, and u face another good team, whoever gets more lucky in terms of RNG wins. There's so much random RNG in this game that will decide these completive matchups. Whether you can pick up the ball after pocking it lose, or the shooting RNG making u miss, or the randomness of breaking a boxout for a offensive rebound to reset your teammates shooting algo, or even just a pluck steal, the list never ends in this game.

Guys, guys, I know the Shot Contest System sucks, Dashboarding in Proving Grounds never got fixed, you can still teleport strip someone, can't back out after a game in Rec, real player percent layups go in regardless of contest, can't put your hands up to contest after a drop step, and if you do it makes you auto jump, any cool clothing costs 20k VC, and much more, but, BUT at least we have Gravity Ball!
