I've never really been convinced by /pkg and /cmd folders in Go projects. If the main thing is a tool, have package main at the root with packages nested. If it's primarily imported and doesn't have a command, then the root can be the package?

1. Write a url shortener or other tool in that family of things

2. Design your own JVM-based programming language or interpreted language

3. Tinker with a Graph database

4. Design a new wire format to use instead of JSON or proto

@brenelz Ooh maybe take an online course, maybe something creative, different than your normal shtick. Or build a table from scratch, or take up the cello, or geo-caching, or design a custom t-shirt. You never know what a shot of "completely different" could result in!
