The U.S. Bureau of Land Management has accepted American Battery Technology Company's Tonopah Flats Lithium Project mine and refinery Plan of Operations — a defining step forward in advancing federal permitting for one of the nation's largest known lithium resources.

This decision advances federal permitting for one of the nation's largest known lithium resources — and moves domestic critical mineral production forward.

"The BLM's certification of our mine and refinery Plan of Operations as accepted is a major accomplishment by the ABTC team and a critical milestone in the construction and commercialization of our critical mineral Tonopah Flats Lithium Project," said Ryan Melsert, ABTC CEO. "This milestone reflects years of technical development, environmental studies, and project planning by our team."

Project highlights:
🔹~10,700+ acres of public land in Esmeralda and Nye Counties, Nevada
🔹~21.3 million metric tonnes of accessible lithium hydroxide monohydrate resource
🔹Up to 30,000 tonnes/year of lithium hydroxide monohydrate production capacity at full build-out
🔹An estimated 68-year mine life and 69-year project life
🔹~1,300 construction jobs and 300 operations jobs

As the project advances into the Environmental Impact Statement process, we remain focused on responsible development, domestic critical mineral production, and strengthening America's battery materials supply chain.
