Seoul’s importance is self-evident. Jeong from DPK is the favourite but the gap with the incumbent Oh from PPP has been closing during the past weeks.

Big scandal brewing after multiple voting stations in Southeast part of Seoul ran out of ballot papers and hundreds of people were made to wait hours before they can vote. Some have gone home, giving up voting.

75.3% of 18~29 yo men voted for PPP in the Seoul mayor election while only 41.4% of women the same age did the same. This is higher even than the 70+ bracket, which was historically the most right-leaning group

Normally we get the results by midnight but the latter three in those seats above are real toss up so we might have to wait until tomorrow morning. The race has gotten a lot more exciting compared to couple months ago when it looked like DPK have this in the bag.

Pyeongtaek and Busan MP seats are where sidelined political figures are trying to make a comeback. Cho Kuk and Han Dong-hoon are both in a political death match and they are so close to making it. Explaining the ramification of it would require a whole thread however.
