IF YOU THINK BEEF PRICES ARE HIGH NOW, IMAGINE WHAT THEY WILL BE AFTER FLESH EATING MAGGOTS WIPE OUT A SIGNIFICANT PORTION OF THE REMAINING US CATTLE SUPPLY
WE NEED A NATIONAL EMERGENCY DECLARATION ON NEW WORLD SCREWWORM NOW, WE ARE TIRED OF WAITING FOR COMPETENT ACTION
Opossums live short, difficult lives, yet they spend their nights doing work many people never see.
Most only live about one to two years in the wild. They move through backyards, forests, roadsides, and neighborhoods after dark, searching for food while avoiding cars, dogs, predators, and harsh weather. Their lives are brief, but their role in nature is meaningful.
Opossums help clean the world around you. They eat pests, insects, carrion, and sometimes even venomous snakes. They also help reduce ticks, which can carry disease. In their quiet way, they support the balance of the places they pass through.
Still, many people fear them because of how they look or because they appear at night. But opossums are usually shy, gentle animals. When scared, they often freeze, hiss, drool, or play dead because they want to survive, not attack.
Kindness can be simple. Give them space. Do not harm them. Slow down when you see one near the road. Let them keep doing the work nature gave them.
Opossums may not live long, but they leave the world cleaner than they found it.
I HATE birthdays but this year is special because I adopted TWO BEAGLES through my girlfriend Lauree Simmons and Big Dog Ranch Rescue and they are now living the good life!
This is the story of Dasher. My friend Jeff brought Dasher back from Afghanistan shortly after I brought Lucy back from the ISIS theater of war.
When @Herb_Minstrel and I went on Hannity, I was able to give a shout out to Puppy Rescue Mission, the organization that helped me rescue Lucy years ago. They reached their fundraising goal for the year shortly after that. I do not know if I had any impact on it, but it felt good to know that I was able to use the situation to help those still rescuing dogs of war, even as Lucy, my dog of war, was suffering in a cell.
God continues to make good out of a bad situation. Because of Lucy's sacrifice, other dogs will live. Other soldiers will be made whole after returning from war.
Although Dasher followed Lucy to the US, he preceded her on the next stage of the journey that all dogs are on. Dasher crossed the rainbow bridge last year.
When the police took my dog hostage, Jeff was one of the first friends who stepped up in support and solidarity. He understood what she meant to me. He knew the way that dogs can rescue soldiers in war. He knew the way that dogs can rescue soldiers after the return from war too. He knew what Lucy had done for me. Dasher had done the same for him.
He walked up to me before church, put his hands on my shoulders and we both stood there with heads bowed. Neither of us spoke any words, but everything that needed saying got said.
I hope he knows how much that moment meant to me.
The organizations that helped him with his rescue of Dasher were @Nowzad and Kabul Small Animal Rescue (@KSARshelter). They are still operating in Kabul, Afghanistan, believe it or not.
These are great organizations. They save dogs. In doing so, they save soldiers.
If I had had time on Hannity to mention all the good guys doing the Lord's work around the world, I would have. I didn't. Hopefully mentioning these organizations here helps them out in some way and brings some more good out of Lucy's suffering.

When he's startled, James still circles. But now there are no walls to stop him from going wherever he wants—including back to his dad!
Life free from a lab is good. 😀
Pharma giant Merck, which previously was implicated in injecting Ridlgan beagles with rabies, is STILL buying dogs from Ridglan as recently as 5/18.
30 pups were purchased and sent to a Merck facility in Kansas. This is corporate criminality, and it must be stopped.
If Spencer Pratt doesn't make the primaries tomorrow, every dog suffering on the streets and in our shelters are doomed. And when I say doomed, I mean dead.
“Horses went missing after a barn break-in — they were found BUTCHERED a mile away.”
Illegal immigrants broke into a family’s ranch, stole their horses; and ate them
ABC News just broadcast a 10-minute segment that set out the right to rescue and reached ~1 million people.
This movement is just getting started. And we're not stopping until EVERY one of these defenseless pups is safe.
Jimbo all alone on the streets 12 days ago. His little body was in a horrendous state.
He wasn’t going to last much longer.
Today we have him back smiling… (1/5) 🧵
I had an unpleasant dream, which I will write about today as a way to introduce the other great dog of my life, Teddy, to you all later on today.
This is how I woke up. Does it get any better?
But Lucy woke up in a jail cell, as she has every morning for six weeks.

🚩This is a list of the major cuts @KarenBassLA has made to Animal Services in Los Angeles this year. It is $3 million less than the budget in 2024. They service about 45-50k animals a year.
• The 2026 budget completely eliminates funds for dog & cat food.
• It slashes the medical supply budget from $389,000 to only $50,000.
• She cut the entire walking & enrichment program.
Billions for the homeless & "harm reduction" for drug addicted humans. Nothing for the animals they abuse.
