The boys are definitely acting more like “adolescents” rather than “kids”-one goes home and goes straight to his room and is building Legos in there and you barely know he’s here-and the other one just ran in here, sat on my leg, farted, and ran out.
Cool.

When you free yourself from something that isn’t right for you, you’re also freeing others. They may not see that in the moment, but hopefully, me being authentic to me and knowing what’s right for myself and what isn’t, empowers others to do the same. If we were all a little more realistic about these things, resentment would lessen and the world would be a better place.

LIRR is on strike. If you’re driving instead, best leave home two hours earlier. If you live in the Hamptons and own a private jet, the fuel might break you, but, congrats. You can leave on time.

Why am I showing you my super baggy jeans? Because today is DENIM DAY, reminding folks that no matter what someone is wearing, sexual assault is NEVER okay, we should believe survivor’s stories, and clothing never equals consent. As a survivor, I love you all. I believe you and I believe in you. #denimday #SurvivorStrong #consentculture #consentmatters #IBelieveYou
April 27th recognizes moms of children with Autism. Today, I needed to advocate for my oldest child who is being picked on by an older girl in his orchestra class. He has been picked on a lot this school year and the schools and district have been atrocious to deal with. I have been desperately trying to relocate our family to a different district and area but every time I try something falls beneath the cracks and I have to start again from scratch. My fight for my children and their best interest will never, ever end. And I will never give up on doing better for them. My life is not where I want it to be right now and I am sad, angry, and frustrated, but it’s for all of the right reasons.
I know that if you are a parent of a child with different abilities, you understand.
I have seen typical kids who aren’t half of the people in heart and soul that my boys are - and I wouldn’t trade being their mom for anything.
For those moms who are there with me, I see you, I hear you, and I appreciate you.

What do y’all think about the hockey playoffs and the way it is organized? I think that the NFL has it mapped out more reasonably than the NHL. Wild card teams are going to knock out other teams that have earned more points.
