The new champion’s Improved Critical says “CAN” score a crit. Does this change the way the feature works or was it an oversight? Or am I overthinking this? Plz help.

@BigFrakingSword @Wizards_DnD @startplaying Im sure the 2024 DMG will have a guide for the new MM, but I haven’t heard anything about a conversion for the 2014 MM.

I think it’d be better for the game if they released something like that sooner rather than later. If they plan to put that in the DMG they should announce it

@BigFrakingSword @Wizards_DnD @startplaying It might not be a nightmare for experienced DMs, but for new groups and for the huge amount of people who didn’t know how to use the old CR system, it’s not a stretch to say that it will be very difficult for them to balance encounters while using old monsters and new PHB rules.
