100% agree. Problem is, they'll just make it 2 steps removed, then 3, 4... Maybe they just shouldn't be allowed to allocate tax payer money to anything not approved by the tax payer?

I tried out the cooking, the only difference is it now has a recipe list, that lists the ingredient (crafting) tree to make that food, but only for food you've cooked before. I was really hoping for an experience like for producing the rare items where you can click each step to craft the requisite ingredients before crafting the final product. Nope. Very disappointed in that particular "improvement", other than that the other changes were pretty worthwhile
