I left my parents' house at 19 🏡

I was convinced I was doing the right thing 😞

I chased independence and freedom 🏃‍♂️

At 25, I moved to Canada 🇨🇦

After 21 years of living on my own and 15 years in the West, I went back home to live with my family ❤️

Why? Because independence is a scam that keeps the economy going 🤷‍♂️

It breaks down your family, so all your siblings have rents or mortgages and are stuck in debts their entire life 💸

Think about it:

In our Arab communities, men don’t leave their family home until they get married 🚶‍♂️

And they don’t get married unless they've built their own houses 🏡

All siblings save money together; they buy land and build an apartment building for the entire extended family 🏗️

Zero debts, zero rent, zero mortgages, zero interest rates 🚫💰

And that’s exactly what I’m doing to do in the next 5 years 🫣

I’m staying with my family going to build a mansion with my brothers!

All of us will have our own houses and be debt free for the rest of our lives 😭

The winner? The family ❤️

The loser? The banks 🏦
