BREAKING: The armed forces of Azerbaijan violated the line of contact established by the Tripartite Statement in the Shushi-Lisagor sector on March 25, gaining ground in the territory of the Artsakh Republic.

The Artsakh Republic authorities promptly informed the Russian peacekeeping forces' command staff and expected them to take practical measures to prevent further violations. Azerbaijan's claim that the Stepanakert-Ghaibalishen-Lisagor mountainous road was being used to transport ammunition is false and was a pretext for their aggressive actions.

The Defense Army of Artsakh is intended solely for self-defence, and their existence poses no threat to anyone.

The Azerbaijani violation of the Tripartite Statement is a grave concern and should be addressed immediately to ensure the safety and security of the region.

In March of 1920, Azerbaijan carried out massacres against the #Armenian population in #Artsakh/ #NagornoKarabakh, killing and deporting about 40,000 Armenians in Shushi alone.

Unfortunately, 100 years later, Azerbaijan has adopted the same policy, as they carry out their state-sponsored siege and escalating rhetoric and aggreession to rid #Artsakh of its indigenous #Armenians. Our collective goal should be peace, not renewed policies of ethnic cleansing and forceful deportation against indigenous Armenians.
