Horrific update to breaking news I reported on Thursday.
The young man shot in the parking garage in downtown Indianapolis near the convention center has died.
The Marion County coroner confirms 23-year-old Brett Scrogham died from his injuries.
Multiple sources have told me and I have confirmed through IU’s online records that Scrogham recently graduated from IU’s Kelley School of Business and was named one of the top in his class.
Multiple sources also tell me that Brett was parking in the garage downtown near the convention center to attend the Indians game with his family when he was shot.
We have reached out to IMPD to see if an arrest has been made in this case and we are still waiting to hear back.
More to come.
Tyrese Haliburton says he felt like he had his dream ripped away from him after tearing his Achilles
“I’m right there. I’m talking about the trophy is in the tunnel, you feel me? Like, I’m right there. It’s like all I gotta do is put together forty-eight strong minutes, and I’m right there. And so, to have that kind of ripped away from me is tough. And it’s something that I have to live with for a little bit.”

The First Lady of Indiana basketball. Before every game, I knew I could count on a wink and a smile behind the bench. There is no Pacers basketball without Nancy Leonard. Can’t wait to see the day her name is in the rafters where it belongs. RIP to a legend and a beautiful soul💛
In 1977, the Pacers organization was out of money and on the brink of collapse. It was Nancy Leonard's idea to host a telethon to save the team. She organized everything in just 10 days.
2,280 tickets were sold, hitting their goal minutes before the event was scheduled to go off the air.
