she had been blockign both lanes of the road to impede movement of the ICE task force, while blowing a whistle out the window to alert the adjudicated criminals ICE was there for - these are NOT random sweeps / roundups.
Her blocking the road is a federal crime.
THe task force officers got out and move to her to detain and arrest her, she made another bad decision and tried to run and wound up driving her car stright into the detaining officer right in front of her car. Hit him, shoved him back several feet - the ice road worked agains ther and in his favor, otherwise he would have been run over for sure. He only drew when she drove her car at him.
After that impact it's attempted vehicular manslaughter, a fleeing felon, which clears the subsequent shots as she passed, to stop her, effect arrest. And she was already a criminal for blocking the road.
