@the_closetalker @EPAGreatLakes for decades they'd kick in your door and shoot your dog for an ounce of weed. Crash chemical trains and they send you a letter in the mail asking you to kindly forward relevant documentation within 1 month.

I personally would not interview with a company that used these. I think overly invasive and and seemingly arbitrary.

@SamsungSupport @LGUSSupport Who can i send a product request to? As far as i know there is only one company making square monitors for programmers/other creatives and the price is crazy for a 1080p monitor. Please make square monitors and dominate the programmer monitor market.

@Facebook Love the new layout. 1 minute of this every time i open facebook, plus a dedicated button for the trashiest least relevant videos on the internet really make it 10/10

yesterday I retweeted github saying they were working on changing default branch name to 'main'. Today i saw a bunch of backlash on reddit and hackernews. I'm very suspicious of people claiming changing 1 word that was already arbitrary is too much cognitive load or dev time.

[rhwelc @therealrhwelc]

cool! A bunch of companies have already made these sorts of changes. Honestly I love saying replica set it sounds so futuristic.

[Una 🇺🇦 @Una]

For what it’s worth, I’m *super* happy to rename the default branch structure of “master” to “main” and I hope we can all do this together as a community with @github leading the charge by implementing in their product moving forward 🙂

@jbrennan414 @syntaxfm i think if you're really serious about security you're self hosting in a white listed network. Its not great but its one of those things. everything is vulnerable and security is a tapestry u gotta weave from many elements.
