@MightyKeef Define "selling well?" Nearly all Sony 1st party games sell well, but the production budget on this was huge. How profitable will it be? You used Shadows sales numbers in another comment, but Ubisoft is on death's door and praying for black flag to save them.
@ManaByte So your argument is that a series that had 3 great entries with kratos introduced atreus levels that people didn't enjoy, so it makes sense to make a whole game with a new character literally no one ever said they wanted to play as? Kratos is what people want.
@Cristach0 Isn't part of the problem that the character is a god? No one bats an eye if Athena is attractive and a capable warrior. For the most part, the gods were all capable and had otherworldly physiques and attractiveness.
@Tvilleguy1@KillaKreww Absolutely, but that's also my point. He was about 30 in 2000. Most people develop their preferences in adolescence. What was he into when he was 13 because there weren't a lot of trans women floating around in 85.
@GamewithDave I'm not buying it either way. It looks like more generic slop. The graphics look like everything is made of plastic and the gameplay is the same I've played a hundred times before.
@BhattiLaib9960 Tipping doesn't exist in most 1st world countries outside of the US. It's a stupid practice that alleviates the business owner of retaining talent through competitive pay.
@Spectre799games I'll take it one step further. The game is made by a western developer, so using norse and Greek mythology makes sense, because your target audience is familiar with the stories. If this game uses Egyptian mythos like the leaks suggest, it alienates the target audience in two way
@SuspendedDoll1 It's a game no one asked for. The test is simple. If it had a different title, would anyone be hyped for the game? No. It looks like a million other action games I've played before. People want kratos.
@RPGHer0 Calypso, GoW without kratos, yet another remaster, Tomb Raider has been run into the ground, silent Hill with Annap interactive. Onimusha is our only real hope, and it's yet another nostalgia grab.
@danielm0nt The test is very simple. If the exact same gameplay, graphics, music were shown with a different title, would the reveal generate hype? In this case, the answer is no. It looks like a run of the mill action game that I've played a thousand times with a GOW title.
