@davidfloyd1980@ScottDochterman@ralphDrussoATH I promise you the entire country is watching and thinking do we really want to associate with a a litigious school that lacks integrity. Tech doesn’t even carry a major TV market.
@chrisgryff@DKEdiger@NCStateFan215@TomMarsLaw There are so many ways to word it to make a punishment against a member school and not Sorsby. For instance, a school that knowingly plays a player that admitted to gambling on NCAA sports forfeits the game and the school’s media rights for the game. Nobody said he can’t play.
@TirbyMo@CJVogel_OTF Even if that is the case, nobody wants to go into business with an entity that is so willing to threaten legal action for enforcing long standing rules. They’re currently threatening their conference with legal action.
@OkieDad918@NicoleAuerbach I don’t think anybody around the country, outside of Cincinnati, would be mad if the were forced to vacate their wins from last year.
@JoshRMcDonald@AbromitisMike@RossDellenger@YahooSports Tech doesn’t have the brand to be relevant as an Independent, particularly if the power conference teams don’t schedule them. I don’t care if the payroll grows to $100m, they won’t have access to the playoff without a strong schedule.
@matwheatley@RossDellenger@YahooSports I’m not sure about the Big12 but under NCAA Bylaw 12.9.4,2 the NCAA can retroactively strip a team of its championships, vacate wins, mandate financial penalties (like forfeiting television/bowl payouts), and ban the university from postseason competition if they win.
@RossDellenger@YahooSports It would be hilarious to see Texas Tech get an injunction only to have Sorsby ejected on the first play of the game against Houston.
