Congratulations to @Tony_Venhuizen on being named South Dakota’s next lieutenant governor! We look forward to your great work on behalf of all South Dakotans.
My selection for Lieutenant Governor is Tony Venhuizen. He is a problem solver for the people of South Dakota.
I had the luxury of countless incredible candidates. Tony is the best fit for such a time as this.
Congratulations to fellow South Dakotan @KristiNoem on being confirmed as secretary of Homeland Security. I know she’s ready to get to work for President Trump and the American people.
I’m having legislation drafted to make it crystal-clear that you need to be a South Dakotan to sponsor a ballot measure in South Dakota. https://t.co/yVL9Tt10yb
It’s absurd for Rick Weiland to compare this slapdash proposal to Gov. Noem’s.
When Noem proposed a tax cut, she had a plan to pay for it, in her budget.
Rick has no plan to pay for it, or to fix its drafting errors. It’s all just someone else’s problem. https://t.co/URUVHdTvUb
Repealing the SD consumables tax this fall, while appealing, may force South Dakota to consider new taxation streams to deliver core services to our residents. A state income tax could be on the table. Voter education will be key on this issue if it makes the ballot.
PSA: We've been getting quite a few reports of "marble size hail" recently.
Why is this not as helpful?
1. Marble sizes vary
2. Marbles are not as common
What we'd rather hear?
1. Report hail in reference to common items such as coins or more common items.
Pass it on!
Rep. Tyler Tordsen, R-Sioux Falls, was quick to tweet that he was starting to work on legislation to get tribes included in the grant and loan program. https://t.co/2TLs9lElXT
