Coaches and C-Suite Executives have so much in common!
They share the responsibility of leading, strategizing, and achieving peak performance under immense pressure. 🧵🔽
Tomorrow I’m speaking at the Black Student Athlete Summit in Eugene, Oregon at the University of Oregon. I’m so excited to speak on topics I’m so passionate about. If you are arts please come say hi! I would to connect with you!

Silence in coaching culture isn’t accidental.
It was taught.
“Handle it.”
“Figure it out.”
“Don’t let them see you struggle.”
So coaches carry everything alone. That’s how burnout happens.
Too many coaches are not okay.

Coaching = performing under pressure with no off switch. Leader. Mentor. Therapist. Decision-maker.
All while being expected to look like you have it together.
We talk a lot about athlete performance. But we rarely talk about the pressure coaches carry to sustain it.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month . Everyone talks about athletes.
Few talk about coaches!
I’ve seen too many coaches break quietly while everyone cheers for what they produce.
If we care about performance, we have to care about coaches.
Too many are not okay.

Today is #NationalCoachesDay 🏀💛
