@misshanks I walked alongside him after we played Man U in April 77 ( we won 1-0). It was as if he were the pied piper, so many people walked with him. The greatest man I've ever met.
Today marks 45 years since my granddad passed away. To the world, he was a football legend.
To me, he was my grandy.
His legacy was about more than football. It was about people, community, believing something could be better โ and having the courage to try to make it happen.
And he never forgot where he came from. Glenbuck was always part of him.
Forty-five years later, that connection is still very much there.
Legacy isn't what we leave behind.
It's what others choose to carry forward.
I hope we can continue to carry a little of his legacy forward.
Forever remembered. Forever loved. Forever in my thoughts. ๐ท
I fucking hate this platform, with its ultra right wing whingers complaining about non existent over immigration. Absolute whoppers who think because they're right leaning they're dead hard, while their opponents are weaklings. They're in for a rude awakening
Finally allowed back on this hell site to inform any who could be arsed that this is our last day in Shropshire, I have been allowed back to live in Liverpool. 33 years of exile finally over
@LFCHelp H, I'm having trouble forwarding my ticket for tonight's game to a friend. When I try to access my account, it places me in a queue for Qarabag tickets. If I attempt to access the site via a url it allows me to select tonight's match, then the friend I wish to send to
Ian Fleming's original James Bond novels haven't aged well. For example, Moonraker - published almost exactly 70 years ago in April 1955 - features a villain who's a super-rich industrialist and rocket-maker seeking to cause chaos because he's a secret Nazi. Such a silly idea!
