@SleepiSteppin@ImNotThatGloomy Not instantaneously, he has to activate his technique. That may be fast, but the gun devil is traveling at 100 km per SECOND, it can close a gap from 200 meters (Sukuna domain radius) in 0.002 seconds. Gojos open/close domain trick was 0.02s I believe, so 0.01 technique time
@microneko2@torquecorkscrew@ImNotThatGloomy We do not know for sure when the ww2 devil got erased. Theoretically it could have been any time from the end of ww2 to when pochita got to earth (seemed to be 6-10 years prior to the series, based on denjis age) The gun devil appeared 13 years prior, gives a small time frame
@SleepiSteppin@ImNotThatGloomy Prime Gun devil travelled globally in a span of 5 minutes, the fastest unmanned jet(Mach 9.6) would take about 30 minutes at top speed to get from JUST the US to Japan(starting from anchorage Alaska).
@torquecorkscrew@ImNotThatGloomy 20% gun devil with about a decade of gun regulation to reduce fear of him*
Prime gun devil is much stronger than 5 times
Last I checked there wasn’t a solid space program in MHA cause society basically collapsed when quirks first appeared. Omni man throws chunks of the moon at the planet for a week. “Size of Texas”
@stonedMeeMees@402WrestlingFan@Boxy_FT@vikare06 Well the question is if he’s adapting The Odyssey (written novel) or telling a story about Odysseus and naming it The Odyssey. Subtle difference in phrasing, major difference in creative freedom. So the logical thing would be to adapt whatever gives you more creative freedom
@jamesjjohnson83@Boxy_FT@vikare06 Moreso the decision to make him a man-eating, humanoid monster is to highlight the immorality of someone who denies hospitality to guests. These stories were told with a lesson in mind, as well as entertainment
@jamesjjohnson83@Boxy_FT@vikare06 Quite frankly, the entirety of the odyssey can be framed as a longwinded explanation about the importance of observing hospitality customs
@402WrestlingFan@Boxy_FT@vikare06 The point is that there isnt an original story, at least not one written down, so citing the “actual text” is very limited for attacking adaptations to the story of Odysseus
@HomTanksef@Boxy_FT@vikare06 “[Actual] text” implies you are giving an air of authority to said text. I’m pointing out that there isn’t as much authority in that statement, since the text is not the “actual” or at the very least complete story of Odysseus
@AbstractTruthSP@Boxy_FT@vikare06 That is quite a narrow way of thinking. The odyssey as it is written is just one version passed down. You can and historians have found other versions from other oral recitations. None of them are correct but you can glimpse the original by analyzing the whole
