🚨🗣️| 𝐍𝐄𝐖: Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes pens an emotional message to Diogo Jota ahead of the World Cup 🏆✍️🕊️❤️🥹
“To Our Brother, Diogo
They say time heals, but walking into this dressing room ahead of another World Cup without you still doesn't feel real.
We remember the hunger you brought to this squad, the selflessness with which you fought for our country, and the pure joy you felt every single time you wore the Seleção crest. You helped us secure our place on this stage, and it breaks our hearts that you aren’t standing here physically to fight alongside us.
But make no mistake, Diogo you are still here.
We are not playing this tournament with 26 men. We are playing it with your memory, your spirit, and your unyielding hunger.
Football has lost a special player, but those of us who shared the dressing room with you have lost someone far more important. The pain of your absence will never fully disappear.
When we step onto the pitch at the World Cup, we will carry your memory with us. Every sprint we make, every battle we fight on that pitch, Every victory, every goal and every moment will be dedicated to you. we do it carrying you with us. We will look at the stands, we will look to the heavens, and we will play with the passion you always gave to Portugal.
Thank you for everything, Diogo. You will never be forgotten.
You and André will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, little brother. We play for you. 🇵🇹
— Cristiano Ronaldo & Bruno”
