After a long illness irreverently borne, legendary TRF cartoonist Gordon Reid has sadly died.
Gordon's catalogue was extraordinary in its volume, ingenuity and skill; his work as instantly recognisable as he was himself.
Known by many, loved by most, bettered by none.

Ha ha ha ha ha. Oh aye, there was also that time he publicly undermined the credibility of an independent process by which one of our players was found to have been racially abused on the pitch. Cheeky wee scamp. #winningmentality
@hulkagraniac Were it warranted, those questions would require a far longer response than Twitter allows. Suffice here to say that it is false equivalence on several levels, and a sideshow which detracts from the significance of the issue directly at hand.
Very sincere apologies to all the celtic fans who have contacted us to let us know that it was ok cos Scott Brown was just sticking up for his pal, and who we've not been able to get back to directly. Sadly we've not had enough time to tell you all to fuck off individually.

Sad to have to say it, but TRF would be deeply uncomfortable with AFC hiring an individual who acted as a public apologist for an independently accepted act of racism towards one of our players - even were it retracted in hindsight, which to our knowledge it never has been.🧵
TRF's stance on that incident, and the response to it, remains 100% as described in angry length in Issues 115 & 116. Any recruitment process of @AberdeenFC and @CormackDavie which has not involved scrupulous interrogation of this is gravely flawed and does our club disservice.🧵
TRF welcomes apparent consensus in the Scottish football world on the gravity of covert racist remarks being made on the pitch. It is, of course, easier to say in the abstract that you would do the right thing than to put it into practice when the issue visits your own doorstep.
