@aodanhill More of the people I knew personally who voted Reform had voted SNP at some point in the last decade than had voted Tory (including myself). There is something to the idea that they chimed with a certain (non-constitutional) nationalist idea or mindset that the SNP no longer do.
Well done @CllrTKerr - second place and more than a quarter of the vote in the East End of Glasgow is an extraordinary result for any party of the right.
@Goosey30111568 I voted around lunchtime and the polling station was almost completely empty. I’m expecting the lowest turnout since 2011 and quite possibly below 50%.
In the upcoming elections, I Facundo Savala, will be voting for Reform 🗳
Both of my votes in Scotland will go to @Malcolm_Offord & his party 🏴
I want genuine, transformative, aspirational change across both Scotland and the UK 🇬🇧
If you will be doing the same, please RT ✅️
We also tested Rupert Lowe and Restore Britain with the group. The majority had never heard of him. Those who had generally felt he was too extreme for them.
🗨️"I think he's definitely more far-right, which could potentially be dangerous"
@ElectionMapsUK@Moreincommon_ I make this a ten point spread for the SNP between their most and least favourable polling. No one has any idea what’s actually going to happen.
@Luis_Cook1 SNP minority reliant on the Greens and Lib Dems.
The LDs have worked with them on budgets in recent times as an alternate partner when the Greens push them too far.
Would be far less stable than the current sitch with the Unionist parties able to defeat the Gov on any issue.
@Crimb1eCrumb1e I definitely think the Greens will pick up a couple constituency seats - they will be pulled up by the UK-wide polling surge. I can’t see the Tories winning a single constituency, agree the Lib Dem’s will make gains. What goes on in small town Central Belt is the big mystery.
@Luis_Cook1@JMcMurdockMP Was he not cleared by parliamentary standards? If there is any ongoing external investigation still not concluded then it’s right he should stay out, but if these are finished without any demonstration of wrongdoing then there’s every reason to get him the whip back.
@Luis_Cook1@JoshHousden Aberdeen South might have voted Right in the past - but it’s a more affluent middle class and therefore less Reform friendly electorate. I doubt we’d win there but could run second.
@LeftieStats@NorstatUKPolls East Ren has to be one of the least likely places for Reform to win an FPTP seat in all of Scotland. I assume the projection is based on the low SNP vote and giving them a certain % of the large local Tory vote - but it’s the wrong type of Tories you’ve got there.
