Reducing taxation (yes these asshats taxed at above 95% and sustained above 70% for a long time), has allowed this incredible wealth. It has meant the bottom half of the population pay a tiny proportion of the tax and get much more in return from government services.

And just like "only 3% of the population will pay 3% tax on their income". You will burden all our children with a tax we will never escape.

Just because you cant reign in your spending.

If you made a commitment to only ever play bridge with one person for your entire life and playing bridge exclusively with that person is what separates your relationship with that person from others and you really want to still play bridge and bridge is something that heavily impacts the relationship.

Then you should first ask what you can do to start playing bridge again and if it isnt okay arrange to play bridge with someone else or dump him.

So yes, thats exactly what you should do. This is a particularly dumb question. Sad you thought otherwise.

Comparing to the least affordable housing market in the world and saying it aint that bad so deal with it is not a reasonable position.

The fact is AU had some of the best affordability conditions in the world and through a series of terrible policy decisions over successive governments ended up with some of the worst.
