My bolt driver's wife called when he was about dropping me off this night. She was nagging and speaking angrily- "where are you? shey you've still not met the target? na so customers scarce?. Man couldn't say a word. Couldn't shout back. Was just sighing. He was obviously bitter.

At 23 I had just moved back from Europe, dropped out of my Masters to serve Nigeria (NYSC) while building a clothing line & a media brand.
I didn’t see myself as too young to not have anything to offer, I was ambitious and ready to take on the world!
@Yemisi_Ajeojo Well said. This is so true. I tend to not listen to people who don’t have the experience, marks or something to show for the advise they dish out
You listen to people without knowing that they are only speaking from a place of fear and Insecurity.
You apply their ideologies and hold no one but yourself back.
I think it is so important to think critically about why or not we decide to do something and also understand that the systems for creating wealth has changed.
As long as something someone is doing is not illegal, there is really no need to talk down on it all the time.
When I first moved back to Nigeria, I used to 'hang around' people who spoke against higher education, they saw it as a waste of time.
Later, I realised they spoke against it because they could not afford the education they wanted.
