@flap_jakes027 @GrittyGamingGG … whether the player that just picked a fight with you is more or less skilled than you. You can play at your personal peak and it can end up not mattering if you got unlucky and put into a lobby with a no-lifer who has hundreds more hours into the game than you do.

@flap_jakes027 @GrittyGamingGG You don’t permanently lose your gear from dying to a Dark Souls boss. And with the exception of player invasions (which you can entirely opt out of) the challenge presented is consistent and the same every time. With Marathon, it is a coin toss… 1/2
