🚨 BREAKING: Palestinian journalist and activist Saleh al-Ja’frawi has been confirmed killed in Gaza.

Al-Ja’frawi had previously received direct Israeli threats as part of a campaign targeting journalists who exposed the Israeli army’s crimes during the war.

Initial reports indicate he was killed inside Gaza, with suspicions pointing to collaborators working with Israeli forces in carrying out the assassination.

When I defended my Master’s thesis under the bombing and rubble of Gaza, the very first question I was asked was:
“Why defend it under these circumstances? What benefit will it bring you now?”

I smiled and answered:
“Maybe I will die holding this degree, maybe it will be a symbol of resilience and strength, and maybe I will inspire others not to abandon their dreams — even in danger, even when death is near.”
