We have been in touch with all relevant authorities and an investigation is ongoing with the EPA, Clare Co Council, Irish Water and Inland Fisheries. We are lost for words, this will likely take decades to recover.

Utter devastation within the catchment on the Ballymacraven River. Most likely due to the release of coagulants from the water treatment plant. Looking at 100% mortality of all species including trout, salmon, lamprey and eels, all within the Inagh River SAC

Lahinch had an excellent Tope shark fishery for years, unfortunately nowadays not the numbers of the last but there is still a wide diversity of sharks in the bay! Will be attending this virtually next Tuesday for anyone else interested

Interesting to see commercial entities working in the background on this! We have seen a huge increase of sea lice on sea trout smolts in the Inagh estuary in the last few years, further additions of cages off our west coast will only increase these!

Turbine-killed #eels on the Lower River Shannon. These eels were found by local anglers on the shore of King's Island. They kindly allowed me to record this video before taking them away. Dead & dying eels are regularly collected below the @ESBGroup hydroelectric station to eat.
