Volume is like votes on a stock's price, as each trade is an agreement between a buyer and a seller to exchange shares. Volume is the number of trades that occur during a given time period on a chart. Technical traders look for correlations between price action trends and increases and decreases in volume.
Trading volume and changes in volume over time can be important technical inputs for traders.
Liquidity can be the most important fundamental for a chart. Without volume, making a stock liquid, most other technical analysis doesn’t matter. Volume from both buyers and sellers is needed to keep bid/ask spreads tight and ensure good order fills.
A trader wants to focus on active names to achieve faster fills for their buy and sell orders. The farther a trader moves from the most active stocks and the major exchanges, the slower and wider their fills will become.
Volume creates technical levels as buyers wait at support to buy and sellers wait at resistance to distribute on a chart.
Downtrends occur when there is a lack of buyers at key price levels, so sellers have to go searching lower to exit. Uptrends occur when there is a lack of sellers at higher price levels, so buyers have to search higher to find sellers willing to exit their shares.
Don’t get confused: buyers and sellers are always equal in every trade, but it is the price at which they agree that a stock changes ownership.
Volume is one of the most important technical indicators for analysis because it quantifies the strength of a price move. The higher the volume during a swing or trend in price action, the more valid the move is. The lower the volume during a swing or trend in price action, the less valid the move is.
Volume can indicate accumulation or distribution on a chart. Uptrends should see rising or steady volume at higher prices, with buying pressure pushing prices higher and accumulation and buy-and-hold activity increasing.
Downtrends should see rising volume on lower prices to validate the trend, with selling pressure pushing prices lower, showing distribution and people exiting a stock. Breakouts from a price range have more validation and meaning when they occur on a higher-than-average volume.
Volume is primarily used to confirm a price move in technical analysis. Traders look for a confluence of higher volume with higher prices, as well as with lower prices.
Bearish divergences between volume and price action occur when a stock chart makes a higher high in price on lower-than-usual volume.
Bullish divergences between volume and price action occur when a stock chart makes a lower low in price on lower-than-usual volume. Both of these divergences could signal a reversal in price action from the current trend.
A large reversal in price action from the current trend, along with a large increase in volume, can signal a high probability that the current trend has ended and the next move could be in the opposite direction or at least sideways.
Often, a trend reversal is marked by a large reversal candle on the chart that closes in the opposite direction of the current trend, accompanied by a large spike in volume. During a chart reversal, volume can start with a large spike, then decrease as the trend reversal plays out.
On days when the price ends higher, volume can be marked green and considered bullish. On days when the price ends lower, volume can be marked red and considered bearish. This classification means the volume on that day was driven by a single sentiment, even though not all trades were necessarily bullish or bearish; the move was primarily in one direction.
Volume is the fuel for price moves and can be a warning sign of the possible failure of a move when a trend in volume doesn’t confirm the trend in price action.
@abbradwell Its 95% non acceptance protocol for me. Acceptance usually only is present on deep failed breakdowns. If price loses a low by 20+ points, returns to it, sells off hard, returns again. Its very clear cut when it happens
You only need to find 2 or 3 really big home runs to get rich.
The key is to wait for the very best opportunities and avoid doing something stupid while you wait.
But most people lose money.
They overtrade out of boredom or FOMO.
The big money is made by doing less, not more.
I will be brutally honest, when I day traded- Most of my losses came at lunch hour. The 3 most important times in the stock market:
The 3 most important times in the stock market:
10:00 AM: The early morning pivot. If we open green, it usually dips here. If we open red, it bounces.
12:00 PM: The lunch hour chop. Total sideways, useless action. Step away from the screen.
3:00 PM: Power hour. The final stretch when the big players step in and close the market exactly how they want it.
If you are forcing trades between 12 and 2 PM, odds are not with you.

"just trade what you see on the chart, price action is all you need"
no mf
i watched a "pure price action" trader blow 6 funded accounts in 4 months while ignoring every single piece of context that actually matters
you know why?
because "trade what you see" is the biggest cope in trading
and everyone's lying to you about why it doesn't work:
here's what nobody tells you about "pure price action":
it's a fantasy sold by traders who want to sound zen and mystical
"i don't need indicators, i just read the chart"
cool story
you're also broke
let me explain what "trading what you see" actually means:
you're looking at a candle pattern
you think it's a reversal
you enter
it keeps dumping
"the chart lied to me"
no mf
YOU ignored everything that MATTERS
the chart didn't lie
you just refused to look at anything except the candles
here's what actually successful traders look at:
LAYER 1: PRICE ACTION (what you see)
candle patterns
ICT/CRT/Support & Resistance (what ever you use)
market structure
LAYER 2: VOLUME (what's happening)
volume at key levels
volume divergences (relative strength)
LAYER 3: TIME (when it's happening)
session timing
day of week
major news releases
LAYER 4: CORRELATION (what else is moving)
related markets
dollar strength
correlated asset strength
the "pure price action" guy:
only looks at layer 1
ignores the other 4 layers
takes perfect setups that fail
blames "market manipulation"
"price action doesn't work anymore"
the guy actually making money:
sees the same setup
checks volume: weak, no conviction
checks time: 15 minutes before news
checks correlation: dollar pumping hard against his direction
checks positioning: no news yet (lower volume)
doesn't take the trade
setup "fails" exactly like he predicted
"pure price action" guy gets stopped out
"context trader" doesn't even enter
same setup
different outcome
one guy checks context, one doesn't
real example that'll piss you off:
met a trader who was crushing it on "pure price action" in 2024
65% win rate
making $8k/month consistently
"i don't need anything but the chart"
2025 hits
win rate drops to 42%
blows 3 accounts
"the market changed"
no mf
the ENVIRONMENT changed
same "price action" setups
different environment
different results
he refused to adapt because "pure price action should work everywhere"
now he's back to working a 9-5
the brutal truth:
price action is NECESSARY but not SUFFICIENT
you need to see the setup (price action)
you need to know if it's valid (context/narrative)
without context, you're just gambling on patterns
here's what you actually need:
STEP 1: IDENTIFY THE SETUP (price action)
yes, learn to read candles
yes, learn structure
yes, learn patterns
STEP 2: VALIDATE WITH CONTEXT
is volume confirming?
is this happening at the right time?
are related markets supporting this move?
is positioning in your favor?
STEP 3: ONLY TAKE TRADES WHERE BOTH ALIGN
setup + context = take trade
setup without context = skip
context without setup = wait for setup
same patterns, different filtering, completely different results
here's what "trade what you see" SHOULD mean:
see the price action setup
see the volume behavior
see the timing context
see the correlation factors
see the positioning data
THEN trade what you see
not just "ooh candle go up, me buy"
that's not trading
that's hoping
the framework i use:
SETUP CHECKLIST:
□ price action setup present (reversal/continuation)
□ volume confirming the move (increasing on direction)
□ time is appropriate (NY AM/News days best)
□ correlation supports (dollar/related markets align)
□ positioning favorable (not fighting the herd)
if all 5 check = take trade
if 4 check = consider
if 3 or less = skip
this drops my total trades by 60%
but increases my win rate by 18%
quality over quantity
the "pure price action" guys:
take every setup they see
"this is a perfect double bottom bro"
yeah it's also 2 minutes before CPI
volume is dead
dollar is ripping against you
but sure, take the trade
get stopped out
"price action doesn't work"
no mf
you just ignored everything that matters
price action shows you WHERE
context shows you WHEN
you need both
if you want to keep losing money:
keep trading "pure price action"
keep ignoring context
keep wondering why "perfect setups" fail
keep blaming manipulation
if you want to actually make money:
learn price action first (obviously)
then add context layers ONE BY ONE
volume first
time second
correlation third
positioning
each layer filters out bad trades
each layer increases your edge
you'll take fewer trades
you'll win more of them
you'll stop getting fucked by "perfect setups"
the prop firm guys who pass challenges consistently?
they ALL use context
the guys who fail 10 times?
"i just trade price action bro"
how's that working out?
stop being a purist
start being profitable
the chart shows you opportunities
context shows you which ones to take
ignore context and you're just another broke "price action guru" selling courses on patterns that don't work
i drop much more sauce on IG (L2WTrades), follow up if you think this is sauce
an algorithm trader who runs $14M showed me something that changed everything I thought I knew about trading
you've been taught wrong about almost everything
here's what actual professional traders understand that retail never learns:
met this guy through a friend. manages a small quant fund. $14M AUM. 23% CAGR for 7 years.
figured he'd be all about indicators, backtesting, complex systems.
complete opposite.
"retail traders are obsessed with ENTRY. professionals are obsessed with EXIT."
"what do you mean?"
"go on trading twitter. every post is about entry signals. where to buy. where to sell. the trigger."
"now look at any professional trading operation. 80% of the research is about position management and exits."
"you're telling me entries don't matter?"
"I'm telling you entries are maybe 10% of edge. exits are 60%. position sizing is 30%."
HE SHOWED ME DATA:
they ran a test with their own systems.
EXPERIMENT:
- used their actual entries
- replaced exits with random exits (coin flip: hold or close)
- kept position sizing the same
RESULT: still profitable
then they ran the opposite:
- random entries (coin flip: long or short)
- kept their actual exits and position sizing
RESULT: STILL PROFITABLE
"wait, random entries made money?"
"with proper exit rules and position sizing, random entries beat 90% of retail traders."
"most traders could flip a coin to enter and outperform their current strategy if they fixed their exits."
THE EXIT FRAMEWORK:
he broke down what actual edge looks like:
RETAIL EXIT:
- enter trade
- set take profit based on "reward"
- set stop loss based on "risk"
- hope it works
PROFESSIONAL EXIT:
- enter trade
- trail stop based on volatility (ATR)
- scale out at predetermined levels
- have rules for ADDING to winners
- NEVER add to losers
"we make 40% of our profits from ADDING to winning positions. retail traders take profit. we add size."
"a trade starts small. if it goes our way, we add. if we're wrong, we're out at tiny loss. if we're right, we're in with massive size at good average."
"retail does the opposite. they add to LOSERS to average down. we add to WINNERS to maximize gain."
THE PSYCHOLOGY FLIP:
"professional trading feels wrong to retail traders"
"cutting winners early feels SAFE"
"letting winners run feels RISKY"
"adding to losers feels SMART"
"adding to winners feels GREEDY"
"every instinct retail traders have is backwards"
"we spend millions on systems that override human instinct. you have to override it manually."
THE POSITION SIZING TRUTH:
"most retail traders use fixed percentage. 1% per trade. 2% per trade."
"we use VOLATILITY-BASED sizing."
"when volatility is high, we trade smaller. when volatility is low, we trade bigger."
"a 1% move in low volatility is different than 1% move in high volatility. your position size should reflect that."
"retail traders use the same size in both conditions. that's why they blow up during volatile periods."
THE FINAL LESSON:
before I left, he said:
"every retail trader is trying to find the perfect entry. there is no perfect entry."
"there's only proper position sizing, proper risk management, and proper exits."
"get those right and you can enter randomly and still make money."
"get those wrong and the best entry in the world can't save you."
"stop looking for better entries. start building better exits."
he went back to his monitors.
probably to add to a winning position.

@experimntal@WestNyc1 Part of learning...have to learn to trade through different cycles. Market has different modes each with its own slight behaviors. Low vol uptrend, transition phases (these are the hardest), consolidation, downtrend (these are the easiest)
4 CONDITIONS
H4 bias confim. body candle, one direction. that's your only side.
Liquidity old high/low swept. no sweep = no trade.
entry only from discount in a bullish leg. wrong half = no trade.
NQESYM triad. one refuses = no confirm = no trade.
4 required. zero exceptions.
go pull up the 6AM candle on your chart right now
this one candle predicts the entire New York session direction
and almost nobody uses it
a guy in my discord called 14 out of 15 trading days correctly last month using only this
here's the exact system:
THE 6AM REVERSAL SIGNATURE:
at 6AM EST, institutions show their hand
they either:
- push price into a key level (reversal incoming)
- expand away from a level (continuation day)
the 6AM candle tells you WHICH
STEP 1: mark yesterday's high and low
STEP 2: at 6AM, watch where price trades relative to those levels
STEP 3: if 6AM sweeps a level but CLOSES back inside the range = reversal day
STEP 4: if 6AM expands and closes BEYOND the level = trend day
that's it.
EXAMPLES:
6AM sweeps yesterday's high, closes back below it → sell the rip at 9:30
6AM sweeps yesterday's low, closes back above it → buy the dip at 9:30
6AM breaks high and closes above with momentum → only look for longs
most traders show up at 9:30 with no bias
they're "reacting to price action"
aka gambling
smart traders showed up at 6AM
they already know the direction
the 9:30 open is just their entry window
THIS IS THE EDGE:
institutions set up the move between 6-9:30
retail shows up at 9:30 and provides the exit liquidity
you can either BE the liquidity
or you can TAKE the liquidity
the 6AM candle tells you which side you're on
go backtest it. 30 days. track the results.
you'll never trade blind again

half of every move on NQ is a trap and you keep entering on that exact half
not because your setup is bad
not because the market is rigged
not because you have bad luck
because you don't know which half of the move you're standing in
95% of traders enter wherever the setup prints. the 5% who get paid only enter from one specific half of the leg. same setup. opposite half. opposite outcome
here's what nobody teaches you:
every move from a low to a high is split into two halves. a discount half and a premium half. and price treats them completely differently
the rule:
if you're bullish, you only buy from the discount half. the bottom 50% of the leg
if you're bearish, you only sell from the premium half. the top 50% of the leg
enter from the wrong half and you're not trading. you're providing exit liquidity for the institution that entered from the right one
that's the entire edge. one line. you've been ignoring it for 2 years
here's how to mark it in 10 seconds:
take the most relevant swing low and swing high of the current move. drag a fib or just eyeball the midpoint. that 50% line is the equilibrium. below it is discount. above it is premium. done.
now let me show you the three scenarios:
SCENARIO 1: bullish bias, price pulls back into discount
H4 is bullish. real body candle up, small wicks. price has displaced higher and is now retracing.
you do nothing until price trades below the 50% of the leg.
the moment it enters the discount half, you start looking for your entry trigger. FVG, order block, whatever you use. but ONLY in discount. a perfect setup in the premium half is not a trade. it's bait.
you enter in discount. stop below the swing low. target the previous high. you just bought where institutions buy.
SCENARIO 2: bearish bias, price rallies into premium
H4 is bearish. real body candle down. price is now rallying back up against the trend.
you do nothing until price trades above the 50% of the leg
the second it enters the premium half, you hunt your short trigger. you fade the rally from premium. you do not short in discount. shorting in discount is how you get stopped on the next leg up before the real move down
you enter in premium. stop above the swing high. target the previous low
SCENARIO 3: price is sitting at equilibrium
right at the 50%. no man's land.
this is where 95% of traders take their worst trades. the move could go either way from equilibrium and they enter anyway because they're bored.
you do nothing. equilibrium is not a trade. you wait for price to commit to a half. then you act.
the model behind all of this:
institutions buy low and sell high. literally. they accumulate in discount and distribute in premium. when you buy in premium, you're buying exactly where they're selling to you. when you sell in discount, you're selling exactly where they're buying from you.
you've been taking the other side of the institution every time you ignored which half you were in.
how i use this every morning:
mark the current leg. low to high.
draw the 50%.
check the H4 bias.
bullish + price in discount = hunt longs
bearish + price in premium = hunt shorts
anything else = wait or close the laptop
that's it. one line on the chart changes everything.
a trader in my discord had a 44% win rate taking good setups in bad locations. added the premium/discount filter. nothing else changed. same setups. same risk. win rate went to 63% in 6 weeks.
he didn't get better at finding setups. he stopped taking them in the wrong half of the move.
most traders spend years perfecting their entry trigger while ignoring the only thing that determines whether the trigger works: location.
the setup tells you what. the half tells you where. without where, what is a coin flip.
draw the line. pick your half. stop donating to the other side.
or keep entering wherever the setup prints and wondering why your textbook entries keep failing.

you're not a 15-minute trader. you're an H4 trader who enters on the 15m. you have it inverted and that's why your win rate sits at 48%.
someone asks what timeframe you trade. you say "15 minute." wrong answer.
you don't TRADE the 15m. you enter on the 15m. you trade the H4.
every 15m setup you take against the H4 bias is a high-quality way to lose money.
price is fractal. but timeframe alignment is not optional. each higher level pairs with a specific lower-timeframe structure. daily level pairs with 1-hour. 4-hour level pairs with 30-minute or 15-minute. 1-hour level pairs with 5-minute. 30-minute pairs with 3-minute. you don't get to pick.
the H4 candle gives you three things the 15m cannot. direction. momentum. context.
candle profile the H4 first. real body in one direction with small wicks. expansion signature. the next H4 candle should respect the EQ - the midpoint of the prior candle - and continue. that's your fractalization window into the 15m.
big wicks both sides with a small body. indecision candle. you stay flat.
the 15m gives you one thing. a timing window for entry inside the H4 you already profiled.
most traders flip this. they scan the 15m for setups all session. then ask the H4 to confirm. that's not a strategy. that's confirmation bias on a faster timeframe.
here's the filter.
H4 bullish. close above the previous candle's high with a real body. longs only on the 15m. shorts don't exist.
H4 bearish. close below the previous candle's low with a real body. shorts only on the 15m. longs don't exist.
H4 indecisive. closes inside the prior candle's range with no displacement. no trade. close the platform.
my win rate moved from 48% to 61% the month i added this single layer. didn't get sharper at reading 15m candles. didn't find a new entry trigger. just stopped taking 15m trades that fought the H4.
40% fewer trades. 30% more revenue.
you have a 15m setup. you don't have a 15m trade. those are different things.
every funded trader you envy uses some version of this filter. multi-timeframe alignment is not a buzzword. it's the only reason an edge has any persistence.
a 15m breakout into an H4 supply zone is not a long. it's exit liquidity.
a 15m breakdown into an H4 demand zone is not a short. it's a stop hunt.
read the H4 before you look at the LTF.
if the H4 doesn't give you a side, you don't get a trade.
stop being a 15m gambler. start being an H4 trader who uses the 15m as a watch.

there's one candle on NQ every morning that predicts the session direction 67% of the time. you're not looking at it
you're looking at the one next to it. the one that predicts the day 41% of the time. the one that's basically a coin flip
it's not the 9:30 candle
it's the 10:00 candle (4-hour)
i tracked 6 months of NQ data on this exact variable. the 9:30 read predicted session direction 41% of the time. the 10:00 read predicted it 67%. one of them is bait. the other one is the trade. you've been guessing which is which for two years
here's what's happening between them
institutions don't reveal direction at the bell. they create chaos at the bell. the first 30 minutes is engineered to sweep overnight highs and lows. trigger early entries from impatient retail. stop out the guy who watched the alert all night. build liquidity for the move that comes after
if your max daily loss usually gets hit before 9:50, that's not a discipline problem. that's a timing problem. you're stepping into the chop zone with both feet and calling it being decisive.
by 10am the algos that were sweeping liquidity have already taken what they came for. the desks that needed exposure have it. what's left between 10:00 and 11:30 is direction. real direction. with participants who actually want to be in it
the 10:00 candle is the commitment candle.
between 9:30 and 10:00, mark every level that gets swept. equal highs. equal lows. premarket high. premarket low. asia low. previous day low
while you mark them, watch the triad. NQ. ES. YM. one of them will sweep the level. the other two will tell you whether the sweep was real. if all three confirm, ignore the level. if one sweeps and the other two refuse, that's the level the 10:00 candle is about to react to
at 10:00 watch the candle close. which direction is the body. where is it sitting relative to what just got swept
then ask one question. is the candle expanding or rejecting
read the body. read the wick. read where the close sits inside the candle. body in the top third with a long wick below = absorption finished, bulls committed. body in the bottom third with a long wick above = absorption finished, bears committed. body in the middle with wicks on both sides = nobody committed, it's a range day, close the laptop
strong body in one direction after liquidity got swept in the other. session bias. fractalize down to your entry timeframe
tiny body. no displacement. range day. you skip everything until 1pm. or you don't trade at all
bonus filter for the days you want to be surgical. check the 10:00 candle close on all three indices at the same time. if NQ closes bullish but ES and YM close bearish, that's a PSP. the strongest index just leaked the real direction. trade the side the two confirming indices are on. against the loner. that single overlay turns the 67% read into something closer to 78%
a 34-year-old in my discord couldn't get past day 4 of a Topstep $50k challenge for 7 attempts in a row. every account died between 9:35 and 9:55. one rule. no entries before 10am for 30 sessions
passed his next challenge in 11 days
didn't get smarter. just stopped trading the bait window
stop being the liquidity. start using it
the 9:30 to 10:00 window isn't your edge. it's where your edge dies before it ever shows up
your win rate doesn't jump because the market changed. it jumps because you stopped trading in the only window where the market is engineered to be random
(DM "SYSTEM" for 1-on-1 coaching, I only take 1-2 traders at a time to work fully private with - this is a high ticket offer)
90% of traders lose money for a reason the industry will never tell you
it's not psychology. it's not discipline. it's not your strategy.
it's that you're reading every candle the same way and the candles are telling you completely different things
one of my students from texas figured this out after blowing $61,000
now he makes $15k/month. here's what changed:
every candle is doing ONE of FOUR things:
it's absorbing. it's displacing. it's rejecting. or it's continuing.
that's it. that's the entire game.
- absorption = wick into a level, body holds (institutions are loading)
- displacement = full body breakout, small wick, no hesitation (institutions are firing)
- rejection = long wick into a level, close back inside (institutions said no)
- continuation = clean body in trend direction, normal close (institutions still in)
every. single. candle. fits one of these four.
but here's what prop firms and gurus won't teach you:
the candle TELLS YOU what to do next.
it's not random. it's not "price action." it's an intent signal.
and once you see it, you can't unsee it.
THE FRAMEWORK:
absorption candle at a key level = wait. institutions are loading. the move hasn't started yet
displacement candle = enter. institutions are committed. price is going
rejection candle = fade. the level held. trade the opposite direction
continuation candle = hold. you're already in the right trade. do nothing
read the candle. the candle tells you the action.
my student from texas was taking 52 trades per week entering on every "breakout" he saw
now he takes 5-7 trades per week WAITING for displacement candles only
his win rate went from 38% to 71%
not because he learned new setups
because he stopped entering on absorption candles thinking they were breakouts
absorption looks like a breakout. it's not. it's institutions filling orders before the real move
he was entering at the exact moment the algorithm was loading against him
every. single. time.
the industry sells you "breakout strategies" without telling you 80% of breakouts are absorption candles in disguise
absorption fakes you out. displacement pays you out.
if you can't tell the difference between the two, you're going to keep paying the difference
you're not bad at trading
you're reading the wrong candle and taking the wrong action
the candle is the entire signal
learn to read it or keep paying tuition
(DM "SYSTEM" for 1-on-1 coaching. i take 1-2 traders at a time a work with you fully private. this is a high ticket offer)
most of you will never make it. and it's not for the reason you think.
i've been doing this 7 years. i've watched hundreds of traders try and i've watched maybe 4% of them make it.
here's the part nobody talks about:
the 96% who failed did NOT fail because of capital.
they did NOT fail because of strategy.
they failed because their nervous system would not let them execute the strategy they already knew was profitable.
read that again.
most failing traders are not running broken strategies. they're running working strategies through a broken operator.
the operator is you. the operator runs on a 200,000-year-old threat detection system that was built to keep you alive in a trench, not to let you watch a number go red on a screen without intervening.
that system has one job: when something feels dangerous, hijack the body and override conscious thought.
a losing trade feels dangerous.
a winning trade about to retrace feels dangerous.
an unfilled entry feels dangerous.
a missed move feels dangerous.
so the system hijacks. and you move the stop. or you close the winner early. or you add to the loser. or you revenge trade. or you skip the next valid setup because the last one stung.
THE STRATEGY WAS NEVER THE PROBLEM.
let me show you the data:
i tracked 47 traders in my discord across 2024. all of them had passed at least one prop firm challenge. all of them had a written, backtested, mechanical strategy.
the profitable subgroup (9 of 47):
- average time from first chart to consistent profitability: 4.1 years
- average starting capital to live trading: $0 (all funded accounts)
- average trades per session: 1.6
- average rule violations per 100 trades: 3
the unprofitable subgroup (38 of 47):
- average time from first chart: 2.7 years
- average starting capital: $4,200 of personal money + $200k+ funded
- average trades per session: 7.2
- average rule violations per 100 trades: 41
same strategies. same education. same prop firms. same markets.
the only material difference was the rule violation rate.
41 violations per 100 trades is not a strategy problem. it's not even a discipline problem. it's a nervous system that has not been trained to sit through discomfort without intervening.
if you want to make a living trough trading, here is the order of operations nobody on reddit will tell you:
1. learn a mechanical strategy with a written ruleset
2. backtest it until you trust the math more than you trust your own feelings
3. realize you still can't execute it under live pressure
4. spend the next 1-2 years specifically training your nervous system to tolerate the discomfort of letting the strategy do its job
5. wake up one day and notice you didn't move the stop
6. now you're profitable
the reason 96% fail is not that they can't learn to trade.
it's that they refuse to acknowledge they're not trading the chart.
they're trading their own threat response.
the chart is just where it shows up.

Great insight - most might assume you are going to miss the move entirely if not involved ahead of the event. In reality, those wild moves are just price exploration looking for the bids and offers on a thin book. Let the bigger players sort out that noise, then hitch a ride once the next leg is revealed.
Imagine that? NVDA is green pre-market. Last night on this app you’d think the world was ending when it was down $3 after hours. Rule of thumb, wait until the cash session close the day after earnings are released before making directional bets from the earnings data.
