There are rumbles that season two of Ahsoka will be the last live action series from Lucasfilm for a while.

If that’s the case, is it really a bad thing?

Hear me out. I hear a lot of people talking about Star Wars projects that they want to see that include characters that would require recasting, or de-aging to make them work.

Those projects in particular would be much easier, and I believe well received, if done in animation.

IF Lucasfilm shifts focus to a heavier animated lineup, the possibilities are kind of endless. I for one think it would be a great thing. What do you think?

Do you think part of the struggle of Star Wars live action shows has been the whole “no homework” model? Marvel has made tons of live action shows that are all connected and they have all do pretty well.

Ahsoka is (arguably) the most well received live action Star Wars show, and it’s heavily connected to other projects.

Is the “no homework” model ACTUALLY good?
