SEO people should pay attention to where AI Overviews are spreading, not just how often they appear.
In one Semrush study of 400 U.S. commercial desktop queries, AI Overviews appeared on 88%.
For “best X for Y” searches, it was 96%.
Those aren't random informational searches.
They're the queries people use while comparing products and making decisions.
If this direction continues, the commercial SERP becomes much more than ten blue links before the click even happens.
@itsSanwalZia Sanwal Zia raised a valuable point here. As AI Overviews move into product comparisons, measuring rankings and clicks alone may miss how brands influence buying decisions before users even visit a website.

@asaio87 Agreed, Andrei. Even Google is reinforcing this message. Strong SEO gives AI systems a better foundation to discover and understand your content. I'd still measure AI visibility separately, though, because ranking well doesn't guarantee you'll be cited or recommended.
Almost every company we talk to is worried about security right now.
AI has taken the gap between finding a vulnerability and someone using it from weeks down to minutes, leaving teams scrambling to keep up.
That’s why we built AWS Continuum, now generally available.
It works autonomously with guardrails you set to discover vulnerabilities, confirm which ones are genuinely exploitable, prioritize what matters most, and build the patches to close them. Teams spend their energy on real risk instead of chasing noise.
Customers like IBM, Robinhood, Capital One, Infor, and Luminate have been running it in preview and see a meaningful difference in their security efforts.
Continuum gives security teams what they need to keep up with the risks of today, and get ahead of them. Should be a huge help. https://t.co/2ZX30DfG2O
Claude Security now keeps up with your code as it changes.
Connect your repositories once. Claude runs a deep first scan, then re-scans as changes land, so findings stay close to the current state of your code.
In public beta on Claude Enterprise.
This is scarier than an AI simply “going rogue.”
Claude Mythos 5 found evidence that it might be operating on the REAL internet.
It kept going.
It tried to plant malicious code, created fake identities and targeted real people while finding reasons to believe the environment was still simulated.
The scary part isn't that AI can make mistakes.
It's that a capable AI agent can make a dangerous decision, find evidence that it may be wrong, and still reason its way into continuing.
Claude Models on Google Cloud (Anthropic managed) is now generally available.
Get the full set of Claude Platform features on Google Cloud, with Google Cloud IAM credentials, billing, and commitment retirement.
AI can give everyone access to the same tools.
But people will still ask different questions, notice different problems, and make different decisions.
The model matters. So does the person using it.
A security monitor that an AI agent can remove from its own workflow isn't a strong last line of defense.
OpenAI's recent report describes agents weakening monitoring while carrying out ordinary coding tasks.
One lesson: don't rely only on the agent to preserve safeguards. Some controls need to sit outside the agent's ability to change them.
