A beloved staff member at Christ Church in #Memphis was beaten to death in front of his home. Steve Pearl was loading tools in his truck when he was attacked by two men. It happened early Saturday morning. He died on Monday morning. There were no press conferences at City Hall. There was no national news coverage. There was no condemnation from elected leaders or the professional race agitators or the NAACP or the activist clergy. Has it come to this - that the brutal slaying of a white man in the driveway of his home doesn't merit condemnation? Or maybe this is what life is supposed to be like in a city where only certain lives matter...
